The present disclosed trivia card game, also known as “Name That” offers users with a brain-tickling card game that follows a point based system utilizing both bonus points and a subtraction of points for incorrect bonus answers, provided during play. Expanding on the initial design of an average card and dice based trivia game, name that supports up to eight active players and introduces a novel card deck containing five hundred cards with clues and answers related to six independent genres to choose from, as well as bonus answers and two (2) eight sided pair of dice, as gaming supplies. To play, users simply roll the dice, and guess the answer based upon clues, up to three, that are printed on a card. For each correct answer, the user scores points. If the answer is incorrect, the player or team will lose points. With the wide variety of genres offered, players will be able to choose their favorite themes and play various games individually, or with other players. Name that allows users to test a range of skills and engage in an interactive, informational, yet entertaining card and dice game.

Rules of the game include 1) a player or team rolls the dice and chooses a genre that is rolled. Rolling a pair of doubles the point value. 2) The first player or team that achieves a predetermined point value in a genre or genres wins the game. 3) Each genre provides three clues needed for a correct answer to score more points. 4) A bonus is awarded for a correct character name.

If an opponents choice is rolled as a pair or selected as a choice, the bonus answer is required. Game play continues until 10 points are scored in a genre, 10 points are scored in all genres or play of the entire deck is completed for a highest total number of points. The choices of how to determine a winner are endless. For instance, game play continues until 50 points are scored in a genre, 100 points in all genres or play of the entire deck culminates in the highest point winner.

For instance, if a player answers ‘the Hobbit,’ after the first clue, they would score 3 points. If they answer correctly after the second clue, they score 2 points. A correct answer after the third clue and one point only is scored. If the bonus answer is correct, they score an additional 2 points. However, if the bonus answer is incorrect, they would lose 2 points. Point values are doubled if a pair is rolled in the dice.
