- 6. A combination tub and stool comprising:a base defining a cavity for holding water therein, the cavity being sized to seat a child therein for bathing; and a lid attached to pivot about an axis disposed along a first edge of the base, between an open position, in which the lid forms an upwardly-inclined back rest for a child seated in the cavity with the lid fully supported by the base to form a tub, and a closed position, in which the lid covers the cavity to form a stool having an upper surface for standing thereon, wherein the lid has a textured top surface to provide friction against slipping when the lid is in its stool position.
- 7. A combination tub and stool comprising:a base defining a cavity for holding water therein, the cavity being sized to seat a child therein for bathing; a lid attached to the base at one end thereof, the lid being operably movable from a closed, stool configuration to an open, tub configuration, by pivoting the lid upward with respect to the base and then sliding the lid into the base to form an inclined back rest in the tub configuration; and a rib on the end of the base, wherein the lid defines a slot configured to receive the rib and sliding the lid comprises sliding the slot along the rib.
- 8. The combination tub and stool of claim 7, further comprising:a post on an end of the base, wherein the lid defines a closed slot having an end, the slot is configured to receive the post, and the lid is pivotable with respect to the base with the post disposed at the end of the closed slot.
- 9. The combination tub and stool of claim 7, wherein the base defines a drain, said drain configured allow liquid to drain out of the cavity.
- 10. The combination tub and stool of claim 7 wherein the lid has a textured top surface to provide friction against slipping when the lid is in its stool position.
- 11. A combination tub and stool, comprising:a base defining a cavity for holding water therein, the cavity being sized to seat a child therein for bathing; a lid pivotally attached to the base at a first end thereof, such that the lid is pivotable away from the base to an inclined, open lid tub position and pivotable towards the base to a closed lid stool position; and tray slidably attached to a second end of the base such that the tray is slidable to a first extended tray tub position by sliding the tray away from the base and to a second closed tray stool position by sliding the tray into the base.
- 12. The combination tub and stool of claim 11, wherein the tray is configured to receive the lid when the lid and the tray are in the closed lid stool position and closed tray stool position, respectively.
- 13. The combination tub and stool of claim 12, further comprising:a boss on the tray, wherein the lid defines a recess configured to receive the boss when the lid is in the closed lid stool position and the tray is in the closed tray stool position.
- 14. The combination tub and stool of claim 12, wherein the lid is shaped and configured to fit inside the base when the lid is in its stool position.
- 15. A combination tub and stool comprising:a base defining a cavity for holding water therein, the cavity being sized to seat a child therein for bathing; a lid pivotally attached to the base at a first end thereof, such that the lid is pivotable away from the base to an inclined, open lid tub position and pivotable towards the base to a closed lid stool position; a tray slidably attached to a second end of the base such that the tray is slidable to a first extended tray tub position by sliding the tray away from the base and to a second closed tray stool position by sliding the tray into the base; and a post on the base, wherein the tray is configured to receive the lid when the lid and the tray are in the closed lid stool position and closed tray stool position, respectively and the lid defines a slot configured to receive the post and the lid is pivotable about the post.
