Claims
- 1. A two-component coating composition comprising
a) a polyisocyanate component, b) an isocyanate-reactive component that contains less than 3% by weight, based on the weight of component b), of an aromatic polyamine and c) 0.1 to 1.8 wt. %, based on the weight of components a) and b), of a compound containing at least one epoxy group and at least one alkoxysilane group.
- 2. The composition of claim 1 wherein the compound containing epoxy groups and alkoxysilane groups that are used as component c) in the compositions according to the present invention correspond to the following formula
- 3. The composition of claim 2 wherein
X represents identical or different alkyl or alkoxy groups, provided that at least one of these groups is an alkoxy group, and Y represents a linear or branched alkylene group containing 2 to 4 carbon atoms.
- 4. The composition of claim 2x represents identical or different alkoxy groups and Y represents a linear alkylene group containing 3 carbon atoms.
- 5. The composition of claim 1 wherein component c) is present in an amount of 0.5 to 1.5 wt. %, based on the weight of components a) and b).
- 6. The composition of claim 2 wherein component c) is present in an amount of 0.5 to 1.5 wt. %, based on the weight of components a) and b).
- 7. The composition of claim 3 wherein component c) is present in an amount of 0.5 to 1.5 wt. %, based on the weight of components a) and b).
- 8. The composition of claim 4 wherein component c) is present in an amount of 0.5 to 1.5 wt. %, based on the weight of components a) and b).
- 9. The composition of claim 1 wherein polyisocyanate component a) comprises an NCO prepolymer prepared from a polyisocyanate and a polyether polyol, component b) comprises a polyhydroxyl compound and component c) is present in an amount of 0.5 to 1.5 wt. %, based on the weight of components a) and b).
- 10. The composition of claim 2 wherein polyisocyanate component a) comprises an NCO prepolymer prepared from a polyisocyanate and a polyether polyol, component b) comprises a polyhydroxyl compound and component c) is present in an amount of 0.5 to 1.5 wt. %, based on the weight of components a) and b).
- 11. The composition of claim 3 wherein polyisocyanate component a) comprises an NCO prepolymer prepared from a polyisocyanate and a polyether polyol, component b) comprises a polyhydroxyl compound and component c) is present in an amount of 0.5 to 1.5 wt. %, based on the weight of components a) and b).
- 12. The composition of claim 4 wherein polyisocyanate component a) comprises an NCO prepolymer prepared from a polyisocyanate and a polyether polyol, component b) comprises a polyhydroxyl compound and component c) is present in an amount of 0.5 to 1.5 wt. %, based on the weight of components a) and b).
- 13. The composition of claim 9 wherein component b) comprises a polyether polyol.
- 14. The composition of claim 10 wherein component b) comprises a polyether polyol.
- 15. The composition of claim 11 wherein component b) comprises a polyether polyol.
- 16. The composition of claim 12 wherein component b) comprises a polyether polyol.
- 17. A substrate coated with coating composition of claim 1.
- 18. A metal substrate coated with the coating composition of claim 1.
