Abstract
In an embodiment, an image element having a thermally sensitive coating on at least a first side thereof is provided. The image element may further include an adhesive for attaching to an object such as a pharmaceutical container. Information about the object may be thermally printed on the image element.

Claims
  • 1. An image element, comprising: a first substrate having a first and a second side; anda second substrate having a first and a second side,wherein the first substrate includes a thermally sensitive coating on at least the first side of the first substrate and the second substrate includes a thermally sensitive coating on at least the second side of the second substrate, andwherein the first side of the second substrate is releasably attached to second side of the first substrate.
  • 2. The image element of claim 1, wherein the first substrate includes a thermally sensitive coating on the second side of the first substrate.
  • 3. The image element of claim 1, wherein the surface area of the second side of the first substrate is greater than the surface area of the first side of the second substrate.
  • 4. The image element of claim 1, wherein the first substrate includes a first adhesive on at least a first portion of the second side of the first substrate, and the second substrate includes a first release agent on at least a first portion of the first side of the second substrate proximate to the first adhesive.
  • 5. The image element of claim 4, wherein the first substrate further includes a second adhesive on at least a second portion of the second side of the first substrate, and the second substrate includes a second release agent on at least a second portion of the first side of the second substrate proximate to the second adhesive.
  • 6. The image element of claim 5, wherein the first substrate further includes a third release agent on at least a first portion of the first side of the first substrate.
  • 7. The image element of claim 4, wherein the first substrate includes printed information beneath the first adhesive.
  • 8. The image element of claim 1, further comprising: a first adhesive fixably adhering at least a first portion of the second side of the first substrate to a first portion of the first side of the second substrate; anda die cut penetrating through a closed portion of the first portion of the second side of the first substrate such that the die cut portion of the first substrate is removable with the second substrate.
  • 9. The image element of claim 1, wherein the first substrate further comprises a perforation such that a first portion of the first substrate is removable from the first substrate.
  • 10. A system, comprising: an image element, the image element including a first substrate having a thermally sensitive coating on each of a first and a second side thereof; andan object, wherein a length of the first substrate is greater than a perimeter of the object, andwherein a first portion of the second side of first substrate is attached to the object, the first portion substantially covering the perimeter of the object.
  • 11. The system of claim 10, wherein the first substrate further comprises a first adhesive on the first portion of the second side of the first substrate, the first portion of the second side of the first substrate being attached to the object via the first adhesive.
  • 12. The system of claim 11, wherein the first substrate further comprises a second adhesive on a second portion of the second side of the first substrate, the second adhesive releasable affixing the second portion of the second side of the first substrate to the first side of the first substrate.
  • 13. The system of claim 10, wherein the first side and at least a second portion of the second side of the first substrate include thermally printed information.
  • 14. The system of claim 13, wherein the object comprises a pharmaceutical container.
  • 15. The system of claim 14, wherein the information comprises information related to the pharmaceutical.
  • 16. The system of claim 15, wherein the information further comprises information related to a designated taker of the pharmaceutical.
  • 17. The system of claim 16, wherein the information related to the designated taker of the pharmaceutical further comprises a photo of the designated taker of the pharmaceutical.
  • 18. The system of claim 10, wherein the image element further comprises a second substrate having a thermally sensitive coating on at least a first side thereof, the second substrate being removably attached to the first substrate.
  • 19. The system of claim 18, wherein the second substrate includes thermally printed information.
  • 20. The system of claim 19, wherein the thermally printed information comprises transaction information.
  • 21. A system, comprising: an image element, the image element comprising a first substrate and a second substrate, wherein the first substrate and the second substrate each include a thermally sensitive coating on at least a first side thereof, the second substrate being removably attached to the first substrate; andan object,wherein a length of the first substrate is greater than a perimeter of the object, andwherein the first substrate is attached to the object such that a first portion of a second side of first substrate substantially wraps around the perimeter of the object.
  • 22. The system of claim 21, wherein the first substrate further includes a first adhesive on at least a second portion of the second side of the first substrate, the first substrate being attached to the object by adhering the second portion of the second side of the first substrate to at least a third portion of the second side of the first substrate via the adhesive.
  • 23. The system of claim 21, wherein the second substrate includes thermally printed information.
  • 24. The system of claim 23, wherein the thermally printed information comprises claim check information for the object.
  • 25. A method, comprising: receiving an image element, the image element comprising a first substrate having a first and a second side and a second substrate having a first and a second side, wherein the first substrate includes a thermally sensitive coating on at least the first side of the first substrate and the second substrate includes a thermally sensitive coating on at least the second side of the second substrate, and wherein the first side of the second substrate is releasably attached to second side of the first substrate;thermally printing information on the first and the second substrates;removing the second substrate from the image element; andattaching the first substrate to an object.
  • 26. The method of claim 25, wherein thermally printing information on the first and the second substrates comprises thermally printing information related to the object on the first substrate and information related to a transaction involving the object on the second substrate.
  • 27. The method of claim 25, wherein the second substrate further includes a release agent on at least a first portion of the first side of the second substrate, and the first substrate further includes an adhesive on at least a first portion of the second side of the first substrate proximate to the release agent, and removing the second substrate from the image element comprises removing the second substrate and associated release agent from the first substrate and associated adhesive.
  • 28. The method of claim 27, wherein attaching the first substrate to the object comprises adhering the first substrate to the object via the adhesive.
