Claims
- 1. A Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) manufacturing system including a UV irradiating device, comprising:
a UV light source having a UV lamp and a reflecting plate; a base supporting the UV light source and capable of tilting with respect to a horizontal plane; and a stage on which a substrate to be irradiated with the UV light source is to be placed.
- 2. A Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) manufacturing system including a UV irradiating device, comprising:
a UV light source having a UV lamp and a reflecting plate; a base supporting the UV light source; and a stage on which a substrate to be irradiated with a UV light source is to be placed, the stage being capable of tilting with respect to a horizontal plane.
- 3. A Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) manufacturing system including a UV irradiating device, comprising:
a UV light source having a UV lamp and a reflecting plate adjacent to the UV lamp, the reflecting plate configured to allow a UV light source to be irradiated at a tilt angle with respect to a horizontal plane; a base supporting the UV light source; and a stage on which a substrate to be irradiated with the UV light source is to be placed.
- 4. The liquid crystal display manufacturing system of claim 1, wherein the UV light source includes a plurality of UV light source parts.
- 5. The liquid crystal display manufacturing system of claim 2, wherein the UV light source includes a plurality of UV light source parts.
- 6. The liquid crystal display manufacturing system of claim 4, wherein the UV light source parts are supported by a single support.
- 7. The liquid crystal display manufacturing system of claim 5, wherein the UV light source parts are supported by a single support.
- 8. The liquid crystal display manufacturing system of claim 4, wherein the UV light source parts are supported by a plurality of supports.
- 9. The liquid crystal display manufacturing system of claim 5, wherein the UV light source parts are supported by a plurality of supports.
- 10. The liquid crystal display manufacturing system of claim 1, wherein the stage is movable.
- 11. The liquid crystal display manufacturing system of claim 3, wherein the stage is movable.
- 12. The liquid crystal display manufacturing system of claim 3, wherein the reflecting plate is movable.
- 13. The liquid crystal display manufacturing system of claim 3, wherein the UV light source is movable.
- 14. A device for irradiating UV light onto a substrate for a liquid crystal display device, comprising:
a stage for supporting a substrate to be irradiated with UV light in a predetermined plane; and a UV light source, wherein the UV light source is configured to irradiate light at a plurality of angles with respect to the predetermined plane.
- 15. The device of claim 14, wherein the UV light source includes a plurality of UV light source parts.
- 16. The device of claim 15, wherein the UV light source is supported by a single support.
- 17. The device of claim 15, wherein the UV light source is supported by a plurality of supports.
- 18. The device of claim 14, wherein the stage is movable.
- 19. The device of claim 14, wherein the UV light source includes a reflecting plate.
- 20. The device of claim 19, wherein the reflecting plate is movable.
- 21. The device of claim 14, wherein the UV light source is movable.
- 22. A device for irradiating UV light onto a substrate for a liquid crystal display device comprising:
a UV light source; and a stage for supporting a substrate to be irradiated with UV light in a predetermined plane, wherein the stage is configured to be irradiated with light from the UV light source at a plurality of angles with respect to the predetermined plane.
- 23. The device of claim 22, wherein the UV light source includes a plurality of UV light source parts.
- 24. The device of claim 23, wherein the UV light source parts are supported by a single support.
- 25. The device of claim 23, wherein the UV light source parts are supported by a plurality of supports.
- 26. The device of claim 22, wherein the stage is movable.
- 27. The device of claim 22, wherein the UV light source includes a reflecting plate.
- 28. The device of claim 27, wherein the reflecting plate is movable.
- 29. The device of claim 22, wherein the UV light source is movable.
- 30. A device for irradiating UV light onto a substrate for a liquid crystal display device, comprising:
a UV light source for producing UV light; and a stage for supporting a substrate to be irradiated with UV light; wherein at least one of the UV light source and the stage is movable such that the UV light is incident upon the stage at a plurality of angles.
- 31. The device of claim 30, wherein the UV light source includes a plurality of UV light source parts.
- 32. The device of claim 31, wherein the UV light source parts are supported by a single support.
- 33. The device of claim 31, wherein the UV light source parts are supported by a plurality of supports.
- 34. The device of claim 30, wherein the stage is movable.
- 35. The device of claim 30, wherein the UV light source is movable.
- 36. A method of manufacturing a liquid crystal display device comprising:
preparing lower and upper substrates; forming a sealant on one of the lower and upper substrates; applying a liquid crystal on one of the lower and upper substrates; attaching the lower and upper substrates to each other; and irradiating UV light upon the attached substrates at a tilt angle with respect to the attached substrates.
- 37. The method of claim 36, wherein the sealant is partially curable by heat.
- 38. The method of 36, wherein the sealant is at least partially curable by irradiation with UV light.
- 39. The method of claim 36, wherein the irradiating UV light includes irradiating the UV light source at a tilt angle in a state that the attached substrates are placed in a horizontal direction.
- 40. The method of claim 36, wherein the irradiating UV light includes vertically irradiating the UV light source in a state that the attached substrates are tilted with respect to a horizontal plane.
- 41. The method of claim 36, wherein the UV is irradiated at the tilt angle of 30° to 60° with respect to a vertical plane.
- 42. The method of claim 36, further comprising covering a region where the sealant is not formed with a mask.
- 43. The method of claim 42, wherein the covering the region with a mask includes placing the mask at an upper or lower surface of the attached substrates.
- 44. The method of claim 42, wherein the covering the region with a mask includes placing the mask at upper and lower surfaces of the attached substrates.
- 45. The method of claim 36, wherein the sealant is formed on the upper substrate and the liquid crystal is applied on the lower substrate.
- 46. The method of claim 36, wherein the irradiating UV light includes changing the tilt angle during the irradiating.
- 47. The method of claim 46, wherein the changing the tilt angle is at a constant rate.
- 48. The method of claim 46, wherein the tilt angle is changed through a range of angles.
- 49. The method of claim 47, wherein the range is about 30-60 degrees.
- 50. The method of claim 36, wherein the sealant is formed on the lower substrate and the liquid crystal is applied on the upper substrate.
- 51. The method of claim 36, wherein the applying the liquid crystal includes dropping the liquid crystal onto the one of the upper and lower substrates.
- 52. The method of claim 50, wherein the liquid crystal is dropped in a predetermined pattern onto the one of the upper and lower substrates.
