Claims
- 1. A bobbin thread feeding apparatus for a sewing machine comprising:
- a bobbin case adapted to hold a bobbin round which a thread is to be wound and to be removably accommodated in a shuttle of said sewing machine:
- means for disengaging said bobbin case from said shuttle;
- removal means for removing said thread wound round said bobbin in said bobbin case disengaged from said shuttle:
- winding means for winding a predetermined amount of said thread round said bobbin from which said thread is removed; and
- mounting means for mounting in said shuttle said bobbin case to hold said bobbin round which said thread has been wound.
- 2. A bobbin thread feeding method carried out in a sewing machine comprising the steps of:
- disengaging from a shuttle, a bobbin case adapted to hold a bobbin round which a thread is to be wound and to be removably accommodated in a shuttle of said sewing machine;
- removing said thread wound round said bobbin in said bobbin case disengaged from said shuttle;
- winding a predetermined amount of said thread round said bobbin from which said thread is removed; and
- mounting in said shuttle, said bobbin case to hold said bobbin round which said thread has been wound.
- 3. A bobbin thread feeding apparatus for a sewing machine, comprising:
- a bobbin case adapted to hold a bobbin round which a thread is to be wound and to be removably accommodated in a shuttle of said sewing machine;
- a mounting/demounting member disposed opposite to said shuttle to mount or demount said bobbin case on or from said shuttle;
- a remover disposed operative in said bobbin case so demounted to clamp the end of said thread wound round said bobbin in said bobbin case and then draw out said thread;
- a winder for feeding a fresh thread and winding a predetermined amount of said fresh thread round said bobbin in said bobbin case, from which said thread is removed; and
- a movable member for holding said bobbin case demounted from said shuttle and moving said bobbin case to said mounting/demounting member, said remover, and said winder.
- 4. A bobbin thread feeding apparatus for a sewing machine, comprising: a bobbin case adapted to hold a bobbin round which a thread is to be wound and to be removably accommodated in a shuttle of said sewing machine; a mounting/demounting member disposed opposite to said shuttle to mount or demount said bobbin case on or from said shuttle; a winder for feeding a fresh thread round said bobbin in said bobbin case, from which said thread is removed; and a movable member for holding at least two bobbin cases with a bobbin case demounted from said shuttle and successively or alternately moving said bobbin cases to said mounting/demounting member and said winder, said bobbin thread feeding apparatus further comprising:
- signal generating means for detecting said sewing machine in a sewing mode and in a shutdown mode, respectively to generate corresponding signals; and
- control means for controlling the manner in which said winder winds said thread round said bobbin during the period of time when a signal for said sewing mode is generated, and the manner in which said mounting/demounting member mounts or demounts said bobbin case on or from said shuttle when a signal for said shutdown mode is generated.
- 5. A bobbin thread feeding apparatus for a sewing machine, comprising: a bobbin case adapted to hold a bobbin round which a thread is to be wound and to be removably accommodated in a shuttle of said sewing machine; a mounting/demounting member disposed opposite to said shuttle to mount or demount said bobbin case on or from said shuttle; a winder for feeding a fresh thread to wind a predetermined amount of said fresh thread round said bobbin in said bobbin case, from which said thread is removed; and a movable member for holding at least two bobbin cases with a bobbin case demounted from said shuttle and successively or alternately moving said bobbin cases to said mounting/demounting member and said winder, said bobbin thread feeding apparatus further comprising:
- a rotary member to be connected to and disconnected from the bobbin case held by the movable member so as to allow only the bobbin accommodated in the bobbin case held by the movable member to turn;
- an insert/holder member for inserting the end of a thread supplied from the thread supply source into the bobbin accommodated in the bobbin case held by the movable member, from the outside of the bobbin case, and holding the end of the thread thereby; and
- a controller for stopping said rotary member after said rotary member is rotated by a preset number of turns,
- whereby a thread is inserted into the bobbin accommodated in the bobbin case held by the movable member, and a preset amount of the thread is wound around the bobbin.
- a rotary member to be connected to and disconnected from the bobbin case held by the movable member so as to allow only the bobbin accommodated in the bobbin case held by the movable member to turn;
- an insert/holder member for inserting the end of a thread fed from the thread feed source into the bobbin accommodated in the bobbin case held by the movable member, from the outside of the bobbin case, and holding the end of the thread thereby;
- a thread cutter for cutting the thread on a thread path extending between the thread supply source and the bobbin case held by said rotary member when said thread cutter is located in the proximity of the bobbin case; and
- a controller for operating said thread cutter after said rotary member is rotated by a preset number of turns.
