Description
TECHNICAL FIELD

The present disclosure generally relates to organizing, hanging and/or displaying garments such as undergarments and swimwear. More particularly but not exclusively the present disclosure relates to an undergarment and swimwear organizer device.

BACKGROUND

Undergarments are items of clothing worn beneath outer clothing including thongs and G-strings. Swimwear includes bikinis which is typically a women's two-piece swimsuit, namely top and bottom pieces. The bottom piece of this swimwear is like an undergarment such as a thong and G-string. The thong is a garment generally worn as either underwear or as a swimsuit. Viewed from the front, the thong typically resembles a bikini bottom, but at the back the material is reduced to a minimum. The back of the garment typically consists of a thin waistband and a thin strip of material. One type of thong is the G-string, the back of which consists only of a string. Undergarments/swimwear such as thongs and G-strings are difficult to fold as they are comprised of fine strips of material and are thus typically thrown into drawers at home thus potentially damaging the material. Such undergarments/swimwear are also difficult to display on store shelves or hangers since they tend to simply bundle up due to their small size as well as the elastic waistband and sting (for G-strings).

With respect to FIGS. 1, and 2A-2B, there is shown a device 10 for organizing and/or displaying garments including undergarments (or swimwear like bikini bottoms) 12 such as thongs T (see FIG. 7) and G-strings G (see FIGS. 3 and 6). It is to be understood that the term thong also includes swimsuits and other ceremonial garments and the types of garments described herein are merely exemplary and by no means limitative.

Device 10 includes a support body in the form of panel 14 and protrusions 16 extending therefrom in the form of pegs. In an embodiment, the panel 14 has a triangular configuration including three corner 18A, 18B and 18C and three edges 20A, 20B and 20C. In an embodiment, the edges 20A, 20B, and 20C are provided with a trim of a resilient and deformable material such as silicone for example in order to avoid cutting the user when handling.

Most of the panel 14 is perforated thus providing a plurality of holes 22 on both faces 24 (only one face shown here, the other being a mirror image of the face shown). The holes 22 provide for receiving the pegs 16 therein. The garments 12 are mounted to the pegs 16 on either face 24 of the panel 14. Moreover, the pegs 16 can be mounted at various locations on the panel 14 as desired by the user. In an embodiment, there are three pegs 16 are used for receiving a garment 12.

Referring to FIGS. 3, 4, 6 and 7, the garments 12 whether thongs T or G-strings G include a front ‘bikini’ portion 26, and at its bottom end and merging with a waistband 28 at it top, a rear strip 30 connecting the waistband 28 to the bottom of the front portion 26 and defining a crotch section 32 therewith.
