Claims
- 1. A disc drive apparatus comprising:
- a chassis;
- a reciprocal slide plate slidably mounted on said chassis, said slide plate being formed with guide slots inclined at a predetermined angle with respect to said chassis; and
- a cartridge holder into which a disc cartridge can be inserted, said cartridge holder being unitarily formed from a single piece of sheet metal having a main upper horizontal surface and left and right side walls downwardly extending therefrom and defining respective shoulders where said side walls converge with said main upper horizontal surface and having a plurality of integrally formed flange-like, tab-shaped projections respectively formed at said shoulders and extending laterally outward from said left and right side walls of the cartridge holder, the plurality of flange-like, tab-shaped projections being slidably received, respectively, in the guide slots in a manner wherein, when said slide plate is displaced horizontally with respect to said chassis, said cartridge holder is displaced vertically.
- 2. A disc drive apparatus comprising:
- a cartridge holder into which a disc cartridge can be inserted, said cartridge holder being movable between a first position in which said disc cartridge can be inserted and a second position in which said disc cartridge in the cartridge holder is placed in an operative position, said cartridge holder being formed of a single piece of sheet metal and having a main upper horizontal surface and left and right side walls downwardly extending therefrom and defining respective shoulders where said side walls converge with said main upper surface and having a plurality of integrally formed flat, tab-shaped guide members projecting from said side walls, and said cartridge holder having a roller rotatably attached to each of said left and right side walls;
- a chassis on which said cartridge holder is movably supported, said chassis having a side wall including guide means cooperating with each roller attached to said left and right side walls of said cartridge holder in a manner which permits said cartridge holder to move only vertically with respect to said chassis between the first and second positions; and
- a reciprocal slide plate slidably mounted on said chassis and having a plurality of guide slots inclined at a predetermined angle with respect to said chassis, said plurality of flat, tab-shaped guide members of said cartridge holder being respectively slidably arranged in said plurality of guide slots, so that upon slidably moving said slide plate said cartridge holder is displaced vertically.
