Claims
- 1. A universal printed circuit board holder, comprising:
- a first support member having an elongated first sidewall and at least one endwall attached to the sidewall, the endwall extending transversely to the sidewall, and the sidewall and endwall being adapted to be mounted to a platform of a printed circuit board processing machine; and
- a second support member attached to the endwall, the second support member being spaced apart from the first sidewall by a distance along a dimension of a printed circuit board, and at least one of the first sidewall and the second support member being moveable with respect to the other to adjust the distance between the first sidewall and the second support member alone the dimension, wherein the second support member comprises an elongated second sidewall and the at least one endwall comprises a first endwall and a second endwall, the first endwall being attached to the first sidewall and the second sidewall at one end of the holder and the second endwall being attached to the first sidewall and the second sidewall at another end of the holder, wherein at least one of the first and second endwalls is slideably attached to the first sidewall, and the second sidewall comprises an elongated first section attached to the second endwall and an elongated second section attached to the first endwall, the second section being slideably connected to the first section to translate along a longitudinal axis of the second sidewall and adjust the length of second sidewall as the at least one of the first and second endwalls slides along the first sidewall.
- 2. The holder of claim 1 wherein the elongated first section of the second sidewall is slideably attached to the second endwall and the elongated second section of the second sidewall is slideably attached to the first endwall to allow the second sidewall to translate with respect to the first and second endwalls.
- 3. The holder of claim 1 wherein the first and second endwalls are slideably attached to the first sidewall.
- 4. A universal printed circuit board holder, comprising:
- a first support member having an elongated first sidewall and at least one endwall attached to the sidewall, the endwall extending transversely to the sidewall, and the sidewall and endwall being adapted to be mounted to a platform of a printed circuit board processing machine; and
- a second support member attached to the endwall, the second support member being spaced apart from the first sidewall by a distance along a dimension of a printed circuit board, and at least one of the first sidewall and the second support member being moveable with respect to the other to adjust the distance between the first sidewall and the second support member along the dimension, wherein the second support member comprises an elongated second sidewall and the at least one endwall comprises a first endwall and a second endwall, the first endwall being attached to the first sidewall and the second sidewall at one end of the holder and the second endwall being attached to the first sidewall and the second sidewall at another end of the holder, wherein the first endwall extends between the first and second sidewalls, and the first endwall comprises an elongated first endwall section attached to the first sidewall and an elongated second endwall section attached to the second sidewall, the first endwall section being slideably connected to the second endwall section to provide translation between the first and second endwall sections for adjusting the length of the first endwall, and wherein the second endwall extends between the first and second sidewalls, and the second endwall comprises an elongated first endwall section attached to the first sidewall and an elongated second endwall section attached to the second sidewall, the first endwall section being slideably connected to the second endwall section to provide translation between the first and second endwall sections for adjusting the length of the second endwall.
- 5. The holder of claim 4 wherein the first section of the first endwall is slideably connected to the first sidewall and the second section of the first endwall is slideably connected to the second sidewall, the first endwall being translatable along the first and second sidewalls to adjust a distance between the first and second endwalls.
- 6. The holder of claim 5 wherein the first section of the second endwall is slideably connected to the first sidewall and the second section of the second endwall is slideably connected to the second sidewall the second endwall being translatable along the first and second sidewalls to adjust the distance between the first and second endwalls.
- 7. A universal printed circuit board holder, comprising:
- a first support member having an elongated first sidewall and at least one endwall attached to the sidewall, the endwall extending transversely to the sidewall, and the sidewall and endwall being adapted to be mounted to a platform of a printed circuit board processing machine; and
- a second support member attached to the endwall, the second support member being spaced apart from the first sidewall by a distance along a dimension of a printed circuit board, and at least one of the first sidewall and the second support member being moveable with respect to the other to adjust the distance between the first sidewall and the second support member along the dimension, wherein the second support member comprises an elongated second sidewall and the at least one endwall comprises a first endwall and a second endwall, the first endwall being attached to the first sidewall and the second sidewall at one end of the holder and the second endwall being attached to the first sidewall and the second sidewall at another end of the holder, wherein the first endwall comprises a plurality of elongated endwall sections including a first end section attached to the first sidewall, a second end section attached to the second sidewall, and at least one intermediate section slideably coupling the first end section of the first endwall to the second end section of the first endwall to provide adjustment of the length of the first endwall, and wherein the second endwall comprises a plurality of elongated sections including a first end section attached to the first sidewall, a second end section attached to the second sidewall, and at least one intermediate section slideably coupling the first end section of the second endwall to the second end section of the second endwall to provide adjustment of the length of the second endwall.
- 8. A universal printed circuit board holder, comprising:
- a first support member having an elongated first sidewall, a first endwall attached to one end of the first sidewall, and a second endwall attached to another end of the first sidewall, the first and second endwalls extending transversely to the first sidewall, and the first support member being mountable to a platform of a printed circuit board processing machine; and
- a second support member defined by a second elongated sidewall attached to the first and second endwalls, the second sidewall being spaced apart from the first sidewall by a distance along a dimension of a printed circuit board, and at least one of the first and second sidewalls being moveable with respect to the other to adjust the distance between the first and second sidewalls along the dimension wherein the first endwall is substantially juxtaposed to the second endwall, and the first sidewall is substantially juxtaposed to the second sidewall, wherein the first endwall extends between the first and second sidewalls, and the first endwall comprises an elongated first endwall section attached to the first sidewall and an elongated second endwall section attached to the second sidewall, the first endwall section being slideably connected to the second endwall section to provide translation between the first and second endwall sections for adjusting the length of the first endwall, and wherein the second endwall extends between the first and second sidewalls, and the second endwall comprises an elongated first endwall section attached to the first sidewall and an elongated second endwall section attached to the second sidewall, the first endwall section being slideably connected to the second endwall section to provide translation between the first and second endwall sections for adjusting the length of the second endwall.
- 9. The holder of claim 8 wherein the first section of the first endwall is slideably connected to the first sidewall and the second section of the first endwall is slideably connected to the second sidewall, the first endwall being translatable along the first and second sidewalls to adjust a distance between the first and second endwalls.
- 10. The holder of claim 9 wherein the first section of the second endwall is slideably connected to the first sidewall and the second section of the second endwall is slideably connected to the second sidewall, the second endwall being translatable along the first and second sidewalls to adjust the distance between the first and second endwalls.
