Claims
- 1. A holographic optics orientation device comprising:
- a pivotal assembly having a pivot axis and including first optical means for receiving a holographic scene beam along said axis and directing the beam along a path transverse to said axis to provide an illuminated holographic recording field in front of said assembly, means for positioning a holographic recording medium to receive reflected scene beam light from a subject in said field, and second optical means for receiving a holographic reference beam along said axis and directing the latter beam toward said medium to illuminate the latter, and pivot means for mounting said assembly for rotation about said axis.
- 2. A holographic optics orientation device according to claim 1 including:
- a shutter on said assembly in front of said positioning means for controlling light passage to said medium.
- 3. A holographic optics orientation device according to claim 2 including:
- a light filter extending across the shutter aperture.
- 4. A holographic optics orientation device according to claim 1 wherein:
- said first optical means includes a reflector on said axis and a beam expanding lens in front of said reflector, and
- said second optical means includes a first reflector on said axis, and a second reflector spaced from said axis for receiving the reflected reference beam from said latter first reflector and reflecting the latter beam to said medium.
- 5. A holographic optics orientation assembly according to claim 4 wherein:
- said positioning means positions said medium in a plane parallel to and close to said pivot axis,
- said first optical means are located at one side of said positioning means, and
- said second optical means are located at the other side of said positioning means with said second reflector of the latter means forwardly of said pivot axis.
- 6. A holographic optics orientation device according to claim 5 including:
- a shutter on said assembly in front of said positioning means for controlling light passage to said medium.
- 7. A holographic optics orientation device according to claim 6 including:
- a light filter extending across the shutter aperture.
- 8. A holographic optics orientation assembly according to claim 7 wherein:
- said pivot means comprise pivot shafts joining said positioning means and optical means, and brackets journalling said shafts.
- 9. A holographic optics orientation device according to claim 8 including:
- means on said shutter for generating an electrical output in response to full opening of said shutter.
