Claims
- 1. A urethane polythiol prepared by admixing and reacting at 0.degree.-100.degree. C: (a) a di- or trihydric polythiol having the formula ##STR16## in which R.sub.4 is a saturated trivalent hydrocarbon moiety having 12-24 carbon atoms and n is 1-2; and (b) a diisocyanate selected from the group consisting of ##STR17## , and OCN--CH.sub.2 (CH.sub.2).sub.4 CH.sub.2 --NCO, the diisocyanate and the di- or trihydric polythiol being admixed in amounts to provide 1 equivalent of --NCO per 0.5-2 equivalent of --OH.
- 2. The urethane polythiol of claim 1 in which the reaction temperature is 15.degree.-40.degree. C.
- 3. The urethane polythiol of claim 1 in which the diisocyanate and the di- or trihydric polythiol are admixed in amounts to provide an equivalent ratio of --NCO to --OH of 1:0.5-1.2.
- 4. The urethane polythiol of claim 1, in which the diisocyanate is ##STR18##
- 5. A urethane polythiol prepared by admixing and reacting at 0.degree.-100.degree. C: (a) a di- or trihydric polythiol having the formula ##STR19## in which R.sub.4 is a saturated trivalent hydrocarbon moiety having 12-24 carbon atoms and n is 1-2; and (b) an isocyanate consisting essentially of methylene diphenyl diisocyanate, the isocyanate and the mono-, di-, or trihydric polythiol being admixed in amounts to provide 1 equivalent of --NCO per 0.5-2 equivalent of --OH.
- 6. The urethane polythiol of claim 5 in which the reaction temperature is 15.degree.-40.degree. C.
