- a receptacle having a wall defining a cavity and an opening at a top of the receptacle communicating with the cavity, said opening facing upwardly when the receptacle is in a collection position;
- a container having a front flexible wall and a back flexible wall defining a chamber, said front wall being secured to the top of the receptacle adjacent the opening of the receptacle and having an opening, said front wall opening in fluid communication with the opening at the top of the receptacle so as to place the chamber and cavity in fluid communication with one another, said back wall extending over said container opening; and
- a support member; and
- means for supporting the receptacle from the support member in a first lower upright position of the receptacle, said receptacle being movable to a second upper tilted position sufficient to dump collected liquid from the cavity into the chamber, said supporting means including mechanical means positively biasing the receptacle from the second position to the first position.
- 2. The urine meter of claim 1 wherein the supporting means comprises an elastic band secured between the support member and the receptacle.
- 3. The urine meter of claim 2 wherein one end of the band is secured to an upper portion of the support member located above the receptacle.
- 4. The urine meter of claim 3 wherein a second end of the band is secured to a boss extending outwardly from a side of the receptacle.
- 5. The urine meter of claim 4 wherein the support member includes an outwardly directed flange located adjacent the top of the receptacle, and in which the band extends through an opening in the flange.
- 6. The urine meter of claim 4 wherein the container includes an opening extending therethrough in the region of the boss, and in which the band extends through the container opening.
- 7. The urine meter of claim 1 in which the container is secured to the top of the receptacle.
- 8. A urine meter comprising:
- a receptacle having a wall defining a cavity and an opening at a top of the receptacle communicating with the cavity, said opening facing upwardly when the receptacle is in a collection position;
- a container having a front flexible wall and a back flexible wall defining a chamber, said front wall being secured to the top of the receptacle adjacent the opening of the receptacle and having an opening, said front wall opening in fluid communication with the opening at the top of the receptacle so as to place the chamber and cavity in communication with one another, said back wall extending over said container opening;
- a support member secured to the urine meter;
- means for movably mounting the receptacle between a first lower upright position to collect liquid in the cavity, and a second upper tilted position sufficient to dump collected liquid from the cavity into the chamber; and
- mechanical means for positively biasing the receptacle from the second position to the first position.
- 9. The urine meter of claim 8 wherein the biasing means comprises an elastic band secured between the support member and the receptacle.
- 10. A urine meter comprising:
- a receptacle having a wall defining a cavity and an opening at a top of the receptacle communicating with the cavity;
- a container having a front flexible wall and a back flexible wall defining a chamber, said front wall being secured to the top of the receptacle adjacent the opening of the receptacle and having an opening, said front wall opening in fluid communication with the opening at the top of the receptacle so as to place the chamber and cavity in fluid communication with one another, said back wall extending over said container opening; and
- a support member; and
- means for supporting the receptacle from the support member in a first lower upright position of the receptacle, said receptacle being movable to a second upper tilted position sufficient to dump collected liquid from the cavity into the chamber, said supporting means biasing the receptacle from the second position to the first position, wherein the supporting means comprises an elastic band secured between the support member and the receptacle.
- 11. A urine meter, comprising:
- a receptacle having a wall defining a cavity and an opening at a top of the receptacle communicating with the cavity;
- a container having a front flexible wall and a back flexible wall defining a chamber, said front wall being secured to the top of the receptacle adjacent the opening of the receptacle and having an opening, said front wall opening in fluid communication with the opening at the top of the receptacle so as to place the chamber and cavity in communication with one another, said back wall extending over said container opening;
- a support member secured to the urine meter;
- means for movable mounting the receptacle between a first lower upright position to collect liquid in the cavity, and a second upper tilted position sufficient to dump collected liquid from the cavity into the chamber; and
- means for biasing the receptacle from the second position to the first position, wherein the biasing means comprises an elastic band secured between the support member and the receptacle.
