Claims
- 1. A process for augmenting or enhancing the organoleptic properties of a smoking tobacco comprising the step of adding to said smoking tobacco an aroma or taste augmenting or enhancing quantity of 1,3,5,5-tetramethyl-2-oxabicyclo-[2.2.2]octane having the structure: ##STR24##
- 2. A smoking tobacco composition comprising smoking tobacco and an organoleptic property augmenting or enhancing quantity of 1,3,5,5-tetramethyl-2-oxabicyclo[2.2.2]octane having the structure: ##STR25##
- 3. A smoking tobacco article comprising a cylindrical body of smoking tobacco maintained in a cylindrical shape, surrounding said cylindrically shaped smoking tobacco body a wrapper and in contact with one end of said cylindrically shaped smoking tobacco body, a filter and intimate contact with said wrapper, said shaped cylindrical tobacco body or said filter, the compound 1,3,5,5-tetramethyl-2-oxabicyclooctane [2.2.2]octane having the structure: ##STR26##
