Claims
- 1. A method of making a pulp, comprising:
pulping a wood material with a specific gravity less than 0.41 by an alkaline pulping process; and bleaching the pulp to reduce the viscosity of the pulp and provide a bleached pulp.
- 2. The method of claim 1, wherein the viscosity is at least 32 cP or lower.
- 3. The method of claim 1, wherein said bleached pulp has at least 7% hemicellulose by weight.
- 4. The method of claim 1, wherein said bleached pulp has a copper number less than 2.
- 5. The method of claim 1, wherein said bleached pulp has a weighted average fiber length less than 2.7 mm.
- 6. The method of claim 1, wherein said bleached pulp has a coarseness less than 23 mg/100 m.
