Claims
- 1. A process for augmenting or enhancing the aroma of a perfume composition comprising the step of intimately admixing with a perfume base an aroma augmenting or enhancing quantity of a mixture of indane alkanol methyl ethers having the structures: ##STR63##
- 2. A perfume comprising in an aroma augmenting or enhancing quantity, a mixture of indane alkanol methyl ethers having the structures: ##STR64## and intimately admixed therewith at least one auxiliary perfume ingredient selected from the group consisting of alcohols, aldehydes, nitriles, esters, ethers other than indane alkanol ethers, cyclic esters, ketones, natural essential oils and synthetic essential oils.
- 3. A cologne comprising ethanol, water and intimately admixed therewith in an aroma augmenting or enhancing quantity, a mixture of indane alkanol methyl ethers having the structures: ##STR65##
