The present invention is directed to a utensil for eating a chocolate covered strawberry.
The inventor of the present invention enjoys eating chocolate covered strawberries. Yet, she does not enjoy the mess that sometimes is created when the chocolate covered strawberries slip out of her fingers. She also does not like that the leaves of the strawberries sometime fall off the chocolate covered strawberries.
The present invention was designed to allow a person to eat a chocolate covered strawberry without having the person handle the chocolate covered strawberry with his or her fingers.
The present invention is also designed to ensure that the chocolate covered strawberry held by the utensil does not slip off the utensil without first being pulled off the utensil by the consumer of the chocolate covered strawberry.
The utensil, was also designed to allow the top of the strawberry to rest flush with the planar base of the utensil.
The present utensil allows a person to eat a chocolate covered strawberry without worrying that his or her fingers will get dirty or that the leaves of the strawberry will be consumed while eating the chocolate covered strawberry.
The utensil for eating a chocolate covered strawberry of the present invention is designed to allow a person to enjoy eating a chocolate covered strawberry without having the normal concerns when eating the chocolate covered strawberry. The normal concerns being the chocolate covered strawberry falling out of the fingers of the consumer or the dirtying of the consumer's fingers when eating the chocolate covered strawberry.
The utensil comprises of a planar base that has an upper side and a lower side. The lower side defines a circular cavity that is centered on the planar base. The circular cavity extends outward from the upper side of the planar base. A protuberance that is fixedly connected to an extreme section of the circular cavity. And, a pair of diametrically opposed tines. The diametrically opposed tines define a plurality of hooks that run toward the lower side of the planar base.
The utensil is used by inserting the tines of the utensil into a chocolate covered strawberry and ensuring that the stem of the chocolate covered strawberry rests within the protuberance so that an upper part of the chocolate covered strawberry is flush with the lower side of the planar base.
A consumer eats the chocolate covered strawberry by securely holding the protuberance of the present invention within one's fingers and then gently biting and pulling the section of the chocolate strawberry, that is to be consumed, off the utensil.
An object of the present invention is to provide a utensil for eating a chocolate covered strawberry.
Another object of the present invention is to provide a utensil that will prevent a chocolate covered strawberry from slipping out of the consumer's fingers when the consumer eats the chocolate covered strawberry.
Yet another object of the present invention is to provide a utensil that will allow a vendor to place their brand on the utensil.
Still another object of the present invention is to provide a tool that will allow a user to dip a strawberry in chocolate.
These and other features, aspects, and advantages of the present invention will become better understood with regards to the following description, appended claims, and drawings where:
As seen in
In preferred embodiments of the present invention, the protuberance 14 is perpendicular to the planar base 10.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the protuberance 14 can be a circular planar body 15 that is perpendicular to the upper side 10a of the planar base 10. In this embodiment, the protuberance 15 can be embossed with either a logo, a design, or a literal element.
In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the planar base 10, the circular cavity 12, the protuberance 14, and the pair of diametrically opposed tines 16 are made of plastic. In this embodiment of the invention, the utensil 100 will be manufactured by using a unitary plastic mold wherein a plastic will be injected into.
An advantage of the present invention is that it provides a utensil for eating a chocolate covered strawberry.
Another advantage of the present invention is that it provides a utensil that prevents a chocolate covered strawberry from slipping out, of the consumer's fingers when the consumer eats the chocolate covered strawberry.
Yet another advantage of the present invention is that it provides a utensil that allows a vendor to place their brand on the utensil.
Still another advantage of the present invention is that it provides a tool that allows a user to dip a strawberry in chocolate.
The embodiments of the utensil for eating chocolate covered strawberry described herein are exemplary and numerous modifications, combinations, variations, and rearrangements can be readily envisioned to achieve an equivalent result, all of which are intended to be embraced within the scope of the appended claims. Further, nothing in the above-provided discussions of the utensil for eating a chocolate covered strawberry should be construed as limiting the invention to an embodiment or a combination of embodiments. The scope of the invention is defined by the drawings, the written description, and the appended claims.
