1. Field of Invention
The present invention relates to protective clothing for normally exposed skin during nail treatments.
2. Description of Related Art
As is well known UV rays may cause extensive damage to an individual's skin. Exposure to UV rays can also be harmful to an individual's eyes, skin and in certain circumstances hair. Various techniques have been developed to protect the skin including application of creams and particular clothing. Further automobile windshields have UV protection to protect the driver and passengers from rays. Consequently, the advantages of UV protection are well known and various techniques may be used to protect an individual's skin and eyes from UV exposure.
One risk of UV exposure involves the use of lamps and machines for nail treatment, i.e., curing of an individuals' fingernails or toenails. UV lamps are used during nail treatments, where an individual's fingers and hand may be exposed to UV lamps during the curing of nail polish. This exposure may create a danger to the exposed skin while conducting this procedure. Consequently, it would be advantageous to have a covering that provided protection of the skin during exposure to UV lamps while receiving a nail treatment.
The present invention relates to a glove for use during nail treatment where the glove comprises: an opening for inserting a user's hand; sheaths extending from the glove, where the sheaths provide covering for the user's fingers; and an opening at each end of each sheath, where the opening enables the exposure of user's finger nails. In another embodiment, the present invention also relates to a sock for use during nail treatment where the sock comprises: an opening for inserting a user's foot; sheaths extending from the sock, where the sheaths provide covering for the user's toes; and an opening at each end of each sheath, where the opening enables the exposure of user's toe nails.
The present invention relates to UV protective clothing in particular gloves and socks for use during a nail treatment. The present invention includes use of a glove that exposes the nails for treatment and drying under a UV lamp. Further a sock is provided for coverage of the foot also while curing nail polish through the use of a UV lamp.
