Claims
- 1. An amusement game comprising a target receptacle, a dump target associated with said target receptacle, a coin track arranged to guide a rolling coin through said coin track and then through a path extending through the air after the coin leaves said coin track, means to provide relative motion between said coin track and said target receptacle and between said coin track and said dump target wherein said target receptacle target periodically intersects said coin path to retain properly timed coins in said target receptacle and wherein said dump target periodically intersects said coin path to be activated by properly timed coins traveling in said coin path, a dumping mechanism arranged to dump said receptacle in response to activation of said dump target, and scoring means to provide an award to a player corresponding to the number of coins in said receptacle in response to said dump target being activated by a coin.
- 2. An amusement game as recited in claim 1, further comprising a first coin detector arranged to detect the insertion of a coin into said coin track, a second coin detector arranged to detect the passage of a coin that misses said target receptacle, said scoring means awarding a player with a score indicating a coin has landed in said target receptacle when said second coin detector fails to detect coins within a predetermined time interval after said first coin detector detects the insertion of a coin into said coin track.
- 3. An amusement game as recited in claim 1, wherein said game includes a plurality of target receptacles and a plurality of dump targets, one for each of said target receptacles, and said means to provide relative movement providing relative movement between said coin track and each of said target receptacles and between said coin track and each of said dump targets wherein said target receptacles and said dump targets intersect said coin path periodically in sequence.
- 4. An amusement game as recited in claim 3, wherein said scoring means keeps track of the number of coins accumulated in each target receptacle and designates those target receptacles which have been dumped and have not yet accumulated a predetermined number of coins as bonus receptacles, said scoring means providing an award to a player in response to a coin landing in a target receptacle and providing a larger award in response to a coin landing in a target receptacle designated as a bonus target receptacle.
- 5. An amusement game comprising a target receptacle, a dump target associated with said target receptacle, a rolling projectile track arranged to guide a rolling projectile through said track and then through a path extending through the air after the projectile leaves said track, means to provide relative motion between said track and said target receptacle and between said track and said dump target wherein said target receptacle periodically intersects said path to retain properly timed projectiles in said target receptacle and wherein said dump target periodically intersects said path to be activated by properly timed projectiles traveling in said path, a dumping mechanism arranged and to dump said receptacle in response to activation of said dump target, and scoring means to provide an award to a player corresponding to the number of projectiles in said receptacle in response to said dump target being activated by projectile.
- 6. An amusement game as recited in claim 5, further comprising a first projectile detector arranged to detect the insertion of a projectile into said track, a second projectile detector arranged to detect the passage of a projectile that misses said target receptacle, said scoring means awarding a player with a score indicating a projectile has landed in said target receptacle when said second projectile detector fails to detect a projectile within a predetermined time interval after said first projectile detector detects the insertion of projectile into said track.
- 7. An amusement game as recited in claim 5, wherein said game includes a plurality of target receptacles and a plurality of dump targets, one for each of said target receptacles and wherein said means to provide relative movement provides relative movement between each of said target receptacles and said track and between and each of said dump targets and said track wherein said target receptacles and said dump targets intersect said path periodically in sequence.
- 8. An amusement game as recited in claim 7, wherein said scoring means keeps track of the number of projectiles accumulated in each target receptacle and designates those target receptacles which have been dumped and have not yet accumulated a predetermined number of projectiles as bonus receptacles, said scoring means providing an award to a player in response to a projectile landing in a target receptacle and providing a larger award in response to a projectile landing in a target receptacle designated as a bonus target receptacle.
