The design comprises a disk arranged to be affixed to a vehicle dashboard and into which a device mounting apparatus can be removably inserted. The mounting apparatus, optionally an active vehicle mount, is preferably arranged to support an electronic portable device. The device is preferably for use in providing travel and traffic information to a user.
