Claims
- 1. An automotive door module having a plastic support panel and a plurality of door hardware components mounted thereon characterized in that:
the plastic support panel has at least one pair of integrally molded stand-offs for a guide rail for a window regulator.
- 2. The automotive door module of claim 1 characterized in that the integrally molded stand-offs are adapted to secure rolled section guide rails without any intervening brackets.
- 3. The automotive door module of claim 2 characterized in that plastic support panel has forward and rearward pairs of integrally molded stand-offs for forward and rearward guide rails for a cable operated window regulator, the stand-offs being adapted to secure rolled section guide rails without any intervening brackets.
- 4. The automotive door module of claims 1, 2 or 3 characterized in that the plastic support panel has an integrally molded handle bracket that rotatably supports a handle.
- 5. The automotive door module of claim 4 characterized in that the handle operates a push-pull cable and the handle bracket has an anchor for a sheath of a push-pull cable.
- 6. The automotive door module of claim 4 characterized in that the handle bracket has upper and lower legs that define a pivot axis for the handle portion that has upper and lower legs that are supported on the respective upper and lower legs of the handle bracket and pivotally secured thereto by a pivot pin.
- 7. The automotive door module of claim 6 characterized in that the handle bracket has a forward vertical leg that limits rotation of the handle and a rearward vertical leg that has an anchor for the sheath of a push-pull cable, the push-pull cable having a core that is anchored on the rearward vertical leg of the handle bracket.
- 8. The automotive door module of claim 4 characterized in that the plastic support panel has integrated wire harness routing features.
- 9. The automotive door module of claim 4 characterized in that the plastic support panel has an integrated bumper stop support and a bumper carried by the support.
- 10. The automotive door module of claim 9 characterized in that the plastic support panel has an integrated bumper stop support that is integrally connected to one of the stand-offs and that extends through a hole in one of the guide rails and the bumper is annular.
