Claims
- 1. A driveshaft comprising:first and second members having a respective-diameter of a certain respective value, each of said first and said second members having a respective splined portion having a respective length of about three times said value of said respective diameter of said first member, said splined members each being anodized, said second member being telescopingly resident within said first member and said splined portion of said first member cooperating with said splined portion of said second member, thereby allowing said first and said second members to form said driveshaft.
- 2. The driveshaft of claim 1 wherein said first and said second members are formed from aluminum.
- 3. The driveshaft of claim 2 wherein said splined portions are coated with an anodized hardening substance.
- 4. The driveshaft of claim 1 wherein said driveshaft further includes a rubber boot member which overlays said splined portions of said first and said second members and which is coupled to said first and said second members.
- 5. The driveshaft of claim 4 further comprising a pair of clamps which cooperatively couple said rubber boot member to said first and to said second members.
- 6. The driveshaft of claim 1 wherein said diameter of said first member is about four and one-half inches.
- 7. A driveshaft comprising:a first splined member having a first diameter of a certain value and a first splined portion having a length of about three times said certain value; a second, splined member which is movably coupled to said first splined, member, said second splined member having a second splined portion with a length of about three times said certain value, wherein said first and second splined portions are hardened, wherein said first and said second splined members include a dampening member; and a rubber boot member which is placed upon said first and second splined members.
