Claims
- 1. A vehicle comprising: a frame having first and second longitudinal horizontal side beams, said side beams being laterally spaced from each other, wheel means operably connected to the frame to support the frame for movement along a surface, fluid operated motor means drivably connected to the wheel means, a pump assembly for supplying fluid under pressure to the motor means whereby said motor means operates to drive said wheel means, engine means for operating said pump assembly, sub-frame means mounted on the frame, said sub-frame comprising first and second transverse members, said transverse members being laterally spaced from each other, each transverse member having a generally horizontal mid-section located in the horizontal plane of the side beams and upwardly and outwardly end sections, a plurality of longitudinal members extended between and secured to the mid-sections of the transverse members, mount means connecting said end sections to the side beams, said mount means including resilient means located between the end sections and the side beams, and means mounting the pump assembly and engine means for operating said pump assembly on said longitudinal members of the sub-frame means.
- 2. The vehicle of claim 1 wherein: said pump assembly has a driven shaft, said engine means for operating said pump assembly being an internal combustion engine having a drive shaft, power transmitting means operably connecting said drive and driven shafts whereby said engine powers said pump assembly, said pump assembly and engine being transversely oriented relative to the longitudinal first and second side beams.
- 3. The vehicle of claim 1 including: a floor located above said pump assembly, door means associated with said floor for covering of said engine means for operating said pump assembly, and seat means mounted on said door means, said door means being a movable to an open position to provide access to engine the means for operating said pump assembly.
- 4. The vehicle of claim 3 including: vehicle operator seat means, means supporting said seat means on the frame, said pump assembly includes an auxiliary pump for supplying fluid under pressure to valve means adapted to be fluidly coupled to fluid operated means, said valve means being located adjacent one side of said seat means, and means supporting said valve means adjacent said one side of said seat means.
- 5. A vehicle comprising: longitudinal frame means, wheel means operably connected to the frame means to support the frame means for movement along a surface, fluid operated motor means drivably connected to the wheel means, a pump assembly for supplying fluid under pressure to the motor means whereby said motor means operates to drive said wheel means, engine means for operating said pump assembly, sub-frame means mounting the pump assembly and engine means for operating said pump assembly on said frame means in transverse relation thereto, mount means connecting the sub-frame means to the frame means whereby the sub-frame means, pump assembly, and engine means can be removed from the frame means as a unit, a floor located above said pump assembly, door means associated with said floor for covering said engine means, and seat means mounted on the door means, said door means being movable to an open position to provide access to the engine means.
- 6. The vehicle of claim 5 wherein: said frame means includes first and second longitudinal side beams, said pump assembly and engine means for operating said pump assembly being located between said side beams.
- 7. The vehicle of claim 5 wherein: said pump assembly has a driven shaft, said means for operating said pump assembly being an internal combustion engine having a drive shaft, power transmitting means operably connecting said drive and driven shafts whereby said engine powers said pump assembly, said pump assembly and engine being transversely oriented relative to the longitudinal frame means.
- 8. The vehicle of claim 5 wherein: said pump assembly includes an auxiliary pump for supplying fluid under pressure to valve means adapted to be fluidly coupled to fluid operated means, said valve means being located adjacent one side of said seat means, and means supporting said valve means adjacent said one side of said seat means.
