Claims
- 1. A member that positions a vent disc in an end of a container comprising:
at least one projection extending from a center portion of the vent disc for positioning said vent disc in the end of the container.
- 2. The member of claim 1, wherein said at least one projection has a shape selected from the group consisting essentially of rectangular, ellipsoidal, and cylindrical shapes.
- 3. The member of claim 1, wherein said at least one projection is approximately perpendicular with the plane in which said vent disc is positioned.
- 4. The member of claim 1, wherein said at least one projection is made from a polymeric or thermoset material.
- 5. The member of claim 4, wherein the material is selected from the group consisting essentially of a thermoplastic, elastomer, thermoset rubber, silicone, and combinations thereof.
- 6. The member of claim 1, wherein said at least one projection is integrally formed with said vent disc.
- 7. The member of claim 1, wherein said at least one projection has a hardness of about 70 durometers.
- 8. The member of claim 1, wherein said at least one projection is at the center point of said vent disc.
- 9. The member of claim 8, wherein said center portion is the center point of said vent disc.
- 10. The member of claim 9, wherein said one projection has a shape selected from the group consisting essentially of cubical, ellipsoidal, and cylindrical shapes.
- 11. The member of claim 10, wherein said one projection is approximately perpendicular with the plane in which said vent disc is positioned.
- 12. The member of claim 11, wherein said one projection is made from a polymeric or thermoset material.
- 13. The member of claim 12, wherein the material is selected from the group consisting essentially of a thermoplastic, elastomer, thermoset rubber, silicone, and combinations thereof.
- 14. The member of claim 13, wherein said one projection is integrally formed with said vent disc.
- 15. The member of claim 14, wherein said one projection has a hardness of about 70 durometers.
- 16. A member that positions a vent disc in an end of a container comprising:
one projection extending from a center portion of the vent disc solely for positioning said vent disc in the end of the container, said center portion being the center point of said vent disc, said one projection being approximately perpendicular with the plane in which said vent disc is positioned, said one projection being essentially rectangular in shape.
- 17. The member of claim 16, wherein said ellipsoidal shape has a height of about 0.22 inches, a length of about 0.35 inches and a width of about 0.10 inches.
- 18. The member of claim 17, wherein said one projection is made from a polymeric or thermoset material.
- 19. The member of claim 18, wherein the material is selected from the group consisting essentially of a thermoplastic, elastomer, thermoset rubber, silicone, and combinations thereof.
- 20. The member of claim 19, wherein said one projection is integrally formed with said vent disc.
- 21. The member of claim 20, wherein said one projection has a hardness of about 70 durometers.
- 22. A member that positions a vent disc in an end of a container comprising:
a plurality of projections extending from a center portion of the vent disc solely for positioning said vent disc in the end of the container, said center portion being the center point of said vent disc, said plurality of projections being approximately perpendicular with the plane in which said vent disc is positioned, said plurality of projections being essentially rectangular in shape.
- 23. The member of claim 22, wherein said ellipsoidal shape has a height of about 0.22 inches, a length of about 0.35 inches and a width of about 0.10 inches.
- 24. The member of claim 23, wherein said plurality of projections are made from a polymeric or thermoset material.
- 25. The member of claim 24, wherein the material is selected from the group consisting essentially of a thermoplastic, elastomer, thermoset rubber, silicone, and combinations thereof.
- 26. The member of claim 25, wherein said plurality of projections are integrally formed with said vent disc.
- 27. The member of claim 26, wherein said plurality of projections have a hardness of about 70 durometers.
- 28. The member of claim 27, wherein said plurality of projections is two projections.
