- said directing means simultaneously acts on each of said directional louvers to orient each of said directional louvers at a unique angle relative to said discharge outlet; and
- said directing means slidably engages with at least two of said directional louvers and is pivotable about another of said directional louvers.
- 2. A louver assembly as recited in claim 1, wherein:
- said directing means is supported on said louvers and is moveable together with said louvers as said louvers are pivoted relative to discharge outlet.
- 3. A louver assembly as recited in claim 1, wherein:
- said directing means is pivotally connected to one of said louvers disposed near an end of said discharge outlet.
- 4. A louver assembly as recited in claim 1, wherein:
- said directing means slidably engages with said at least one directional louver along a longitudinal edge thereof;
- said longitudinal edge of each said at least one louver being at a distance from a longitudinal axis along which said louver is pivotably attached to said discharge outlet.
- 5. A louver assembly as recited in claim 4, wherein:
- said directing means includes a lever having a plurality of slots defined along a longitudinal side thereof, one slot for each of said louvers slidably engaged therewith;
- each of said louvers slidably engaged with said lever includes a recess defined in said edge thereof, and has a guide post disposed therein for slidably accepting one of said slots of said lever.
- 6. A louver assembly according to claim 1, wherein said directing means comprises a lever supported on said directional louvers.
- 7. A louver assembly according to claim 6, wherein said lever has a plurality of substantially uniformly shaped recesses provided therein for slidably engaging said directional louvers, respectively.
- 8. A louver assembly for attachment to an air duct opening, comprising:
- a discharge outlet which attaches to said air duct at an opening thereof;
- at least two directional louvers, each of which is pivotably connected along a longitudinal axis thereof to said discharge outlet;
- means, adjustably connected to each of said directional louvers at a distance from said longitudinal axis thereof, for selectively simulataneously moving said louvers into respective orientations so as to simulataneously direct airflow in a plurality of directions from said air duct opening;
- said moving means orients each of said directional louvers at a unique angle relative to said discharge outlet; and
- said moving means being slidable with respect to said directional louvers and is supported on said directional louvers.
- 9. A louver assembly as recited in claim 8, including:
- at least one additional louver connected to said discharge outlet; and
- said moving means is pivotably connected to said additional louver, and said moving means is slidable along said directional louvers as said moving means pivots relative to said additional louver.
- 10. A louver assembly as recited in claim 8, wherein:
- said moving means comprises a lever connected between said directional louvers.
- 11. A louver assembly as recited in claim 8, wherein:
- said moving means selectively moves each of said directional louvers to one of a plurality of unique angles relative to said discharge outlet, and selectively moves each of said directional louvers to a common angle relative to said discharge outlet.
- 12. A louver assembly for directing airflow from an air duct, comprising:
- a discharge frame which attaches to an air duct at an opening thereof;
- a plurality of directional louvers pivotally attached to said discharge frame in a spaced relation along said air duct opening;
- means, slidably engaged with a plurality of said directional louvers, for selectively varying a width of dispersion of airflow from said air duct opening;
- said varying means is pivotally connected to another of said louvers near an end of said discharge frame; and
- said varying means rotates each of said directional louvers slidably engaged thereby at a different angle from each other relative to said discharge frame.
- 13. A louver assembly as recited in claim 12, wherein:
- said varying means includes a lever having at least one slot defined therealong, one said slot for each of said directional louvers slidably engaged by said lever, each said slot is adapted to engage with a corresponding one of said directional louvers; and
- each of said directional louvers slidably engaged by said lever includes a recess defined in an edge thereof for slidably receiving said corresponding one of said slots of said lever.
- 14. A louver assembly as recited in claim 13, wherein:
- each said louver slidably engaged by said lever is pivotably attached along a longitudinal axis thereof to said discharge frame;
- each said recess is defined in an edge of said corresponding louver at a distance from said longitudinal axis of said louver; and
- each said recess includes a guide post disposed therein for slidably receiving said corresponding one of said slots.
- 15. A louver assembly as recited in claim 14, wherein:
- each said guide post includes means for positioning said slots of said lever in at least one predetermined position therealong.
- 16. A louver assembly as recited in claim 15, wherein:
- said positioning means includes at least one groove defined in said guide post.
- 17. A louver assembly as recited in claim 13, wherein:
- surfaces defining said slots of said lever being angled to substantially match a maximum angle said lever pivots relative to said end louver.
