Claims
- 1. A ventilation system comprising:
a housing; a ventilation controller in said housing; said housing providing means for electrically connecting a power source to said ventilation controller; an exhaust fan electrically connected to said controller; a faceplate located on said housing; at least one switch located on said faceplate; at least one humidity sensor in communication with, and providing data to, said ventilation controller; and wherein said ventilation controller incorporates an integrated circuit selectively operable to provide power to said exhaust fan.
- 2. The ventilation system of claim 1, wherein said integrated circuit further includes means to compare said data provided by said humidity sensor to a user set value and means to provide power to said exhaust fan when the value of said data exceeds said user set value.
- 3. The ventilation system of claim 1, wherein said integrated circuit further includes means to store said data from said at least one humidity sensor, means to calculate a gradient value of humidity, and means to provide power to said exhaust fan when said gradient value exceeds a predetermined threshold value.
- 4. The ventilation system of claim 1, wherein said at least one humidity sensor is in wireless communication with said ventilation controller.
- 5. The ventilation system of claim 1, wherein said at least one switch located on said faceplate includes a manual fan switch, said manual fan switch in electrical connection with said fan to bypass said ventilation controller.
- 6. The ventilation system of claim 1, wherein said at least one humidity sensor includes a first humidity sensor and a reference sensor providing said data to said integrated circuit, said integrated circuit further including means for comparing data communicated from said first humidity sensor and said reference sensor and means to provide power to said exhaust fan when said data from said first humidity sensor exceeds data from said reference sensor.
- 7. The ventilation system of claim 6, wherein said first humidity sensor and said reference sensor are in wireless communication with said controller.
- 8. The ventilation system of claim 1, wherein said ventilation controller further incorporates a heat source in electrical connection with said integrated circuit.
- 9. A ventilation system comprising:
a housing; a ventilation controller in said housing; said housing providing means for electrically connecting a power source to said ventilation controller; an exhaust fan electrically connected to said controller; a faceplate located on said housing; at least one switch located on said faceplate; and wherein said ventilation controller incorporates a mechanical humidity controller connected to a fan switch, said mechanical humidity controller selectively providing a signal to said fan switch, said fan switch operable to provide power to said exhaust fan.
- 10. The ventilation system of claim 9, wherein said at least one switch located on said faceplate includes a manual fan switch, said manual fan switch in electrical connection with said fan to bypass said ventilation controller.
- 11. The ventilation system of claim 9, wherein said ventilation controller further incorporates a heat source in electrical connection with said ventilation controller.
