1. Field of the Invention
The present invention generally relates to a vertical molding machine, and more particularly to a vertical molding machine having a cleaning function.
2. The Related Art
A conventional vertical molding machine includes an upper mold and a lower mold matched with the upper mold to define a molding cavity therebetween for injection molding a product therein. However, some sundries, dusts and scraps may fall on the lower mold when the vertical molding machine is opened so that affects the quality of the products and may make the vertical molding machine damaged. Therefore, a vertical molding machine capable of overcoming the foregoing problems is required.
An object of the present invention is to provide a vertical molding machine having a cleaning function. The vertical molding machine has an upper mold, a lower mold matched with the upper mold to define a molding cavity therebetween and at least one cleaning device having a base body mounted to a side of the upper mold. A top surface of the lower mold is acted as a mating surface. The base body defines a passageway with one end opened freely for receiving external gas. The base body further defines at least one blowhole. One end of the blowhole is connected with the passageway and the other end thereof penetrates through the base body to be exposed towards the mating surface of the lower mold so as to make the external gas flown onto the mating surface of the lower mold blow through the passageway and the blowholes during the vertical molding machine being closed.
As described above, the vertical molding machine of the present invention utilizes the cleaning device to make the external gas blow to the mating surface of the lower mold during the vertical molding machine being closed so as to keep the mating surface of the lower mold clean. This assures the quality of a product mold in the molding cavity and lengthens the using life of the vertical molding machine.
The present invention will be apparent to those skilled in the art by reading the following description, with reference to the attached drawings, in which:

In use, the upper mold 10 moves downward to approach the lower mold 20 for making the vertical molding machine 1 closed. In the process of the vertical molding machine 1 being closed, the gas is blown from the windpipe to successively pass through the control valve 32, the passageway 313 and the blowholes 315, and then blown onto the second mating surface 21 of the lower mold 20 for blowing sundries, dusts and scraps on the second mating surface 21 away. When the upper mold 10 is about to match with the lower mold 20, the control valve 32 is controlled to break off the gas. Then the vertical molding machine 1 is fully closed and a molding cavity is formed by the first molding cavity 14 of the upper mold 10 and the second molding cavity 23 of the lower mold 20 matched with each other for injection molding a product (not shown) therein. Furthermore, the positioning portions 22 of the lower mold 20 are positioned in the corresponding positioning holes 13 of the upper mold 10 to ensure a firm engagement between the lower mold 20 and the upper mold 10 when the vertical molding machine 1 is closed.
As described above, the vertical molding machine 1 of the present invention utilizes the cleaning device 30 to make the gas blown to the second mating surface 21 of the lower mold 20 during the vertical molding machine 1 being closed so as to blow the sundries, dusts and scraps on the second mating surface 21 away for keeping the second mating surface 21 of the lower mold 20 clean. This promotes the quality of the product mold in the molding cavity and product life of the vertical molding machine 1.
The forgoing description of the present invention has been presented for purposes of illustration and description. It is not intended to be exhaustive or to limit the invention to the precise form disclosed, and obviously many modifications and variations are possible in light of the above teaching. Such modifications and variations that may be apparent to those skilled in the art are intended to be included within the scope of this invention as defined by the accompanying claims.
