Claims
- 1. A pump assembly comprising:a pump shaft; a hearing frame; a bearing housing in which there are provided at least one hearing supporting said shaft; a threaded connection between a radially outer portion of said hearing housing and a radially inner portion of said hearing frame; and an anti-vibration wedge with a locking/unlocking screw assembly wedged between the radially outer portion of said bearing housing and the radially inner portion of said bearing frame in order to reduce vibration.
- 2. The pump assembly of claim 1, further comprising first and second coaxially aligned fasteners for tightening and loosening said wedge; wherein one of said fasteners is at least partially located within the other of said fasteners.
- 3. The pump assembly of claim 1, wherein an axial position of said pump shaft can be adjusted relative to said bearing frame by rotating said bearing housing relative to said bearing frame via a threaded connection.
- 4. The pump assembly of claim 1, further comprising gear teeth provided on the radially outward diameter of the bearing housing with a separate driver gear to provide ease of axial position adjustment of the shaft.
