Claims
- 1. A shelf bracket assembly comprising:
(a) a plurality of vertical support strips operatively attached to a wall, each said strip having a plurality of slots aligned vertically along the length of said support strips; (b) a plurality of shelf brackets operatively attached to said support strips, each said bracket comprising:
(i) a base comprising an upper end, a lower end, and vertically aligned hooked portions between said upper and lower ends of a size and shape to lockingly fit within said vertical slots of said support strip; and (ii) a horizontal support member fixedly connected to said base and of a size and strength capable of supporting at least half the weight of a shelf; wherein at least two of said horizontal support members have second ends, each said second end containing an aperture sized to receive a rod, wherein said rod may be supported between said horizontal support members.
- 2. A shelf bracket assembly according to claim 1 wherein said brackets further comprise a recess in said base above said support member sized to receive a first end of said shelf.
- 3. A shelf bracket assembly according to claim 1 further comprising a shim sized to fit in said recess above said shelf whereby said shelf may be secured against said support member.
- 4. A shelf bracket assembly according to claim 1 further comprising a first velcro strip configured to be secured to said support member and a second velcro strip configured to be secured to said shelf, whereby said first strip will engage said second strip when said shelf is placed in contact with said support member.
- 5. A shelf bracket assembly according to claim 1 further comprising a pressure sensitive adhesive for securing said shelf to support member.
- 6. A shelf bracket assembly according to claim 5 wherein said pressure sensitive adhesive is repositionable whereby said shelf support member may be releasably secured.
- 7. A shelf bracket assembly comprising:
(a) a plurality of vertical support strips operatively attached to a wall, each said strip having a face and a pair of sidewalls substantially perpendicular to said face, said face containing a plurality of slots aligned vertically along the length of said face; a plurality of vertically aligned and substantially round holes, each said round hole having a diameter greater than the width of said slots and sized to receive a screw; and an elongated mounting slot, said screw slot having a width at least as wide as said diameter of said round holes; (b) a plurality of shelf brackets operatively attached to said support strips, each said bracket comprising:
(i) a base comprising an upper end, a lower end, and vertically aligned hooked portions between said upper and lower ends of a size and shape to lockingly fit within said vertical slots of said support strip; and (ii) a horizontal support member fixedly connected to said base and of a size and strength capable of supporting at least half the weight of a shelf.
- 8. A shelf bracket assembly according to claim 7 wherein said face of said support strip further comprises a plurality of dimples in said face proximate to said mounting slot.
- 9. A shelf bracket assembly comprising:
(a) a plurality of vertical support strips operatively attached to a wall, each said strip having a plurality of slots aligned vertically along the length of said support strips; (b) a plurality of shelf brackets operatively attached to said support strips, each said bracket comprising:
(i) a base comprising an upper end, a lower end, and vertically aligned hooked portions between said upper and lower ends of a size and shape to lockingly fit within said vertical slots of said support strip; and (ii) a horizontal support member fixedly connected to said base and of a size and strength capable of supporting at least half the weight of a shelf; and (c) a cover operatively attached to said support strips, said cover completely covering said support strips in the space between said shelf brackets, in the space above a top said shelf bracket and in the space below a bottom said shelf bracket.
- 10. A shelf bracket assembly according to claim 9 wherein said cover further comprises a cap section.
- 11. A shelf bracket assembly according to claim 10 wherein said cap section further comprises a body having a cap cavity.
- 12. A shelf bracket assembly according to claim 11 further comprising a clip extending from said cap cavity, said clip configured to matably engage an upper edge of said support strip.
- 13. A shelf bracket assembly according to claim 12 wherein said cap section further comprises an interior surface and an upper surface and wherein said clip further comprises two downwardly extending tabs.
- 14. A shelf bracket assembly according to claim 13 wherein said tabs form an engagement space between said tabs and said interior space of said cap section.
- 15. A shelf bracket assembly according to claim 14 wherein said engagement space narrows in width as said engagement space approaches said upper surface of said cap section.
- 16. A shelf bracket assembly according to claim 9 wherein said cover further comprises a hanging casing comprising an elongated body having an upper end and a lower end and a channel sized to enclose a portion of said support strip.
- 17. A shelf bracket assembly according to claim 16 wherein said cover further comprises an interior cavity.
- 18. A shelf bracket assembly according to claim 17 wherein said hanging casing is configured to fit within and depend from said interior cavity.
- 19. A shelf bracket assembly according to claim 18 wherein said hanging casing is configured to engage said interior cavity.
- 20. A shelf bracket assembly according to claim 19 wherein said interior cavity is provided with a plurality of grooves.
- 21. A shelf bracket according to claim 20 wherein said hanging casing has an exterior, said exterior provided with at least one tongue sized to engage said grooves in said cavity.
- 22. A hanging rod assembly comprising:
(a) a plurality of vertical support strips operatively attached to a wall, each said strip having a plurality of slots aligned vertically along the length of said support strips; (b) a plurality of rod supports operatively attached to said support strips, each said rod support comprising:
(i) a base comprising an upper end, a lower end, and vertically aligned hooked portions between said upper and lower ends of a size and shape to lockingly fit within said vertical slots of said support strip; and (ii) a horizontal support member fixedly connected to said base and of a size and strength capable of supporting at least half the weight of a rod; wherein at least two of said horizontal support members have second ends, each said second end containing an aperture sized to receive a rod, wherein said rod may be supported between said horizontal support members.
- 23. A hanging rod assembly according to claim 22 further comprising a cover operatively attached to said support strips, said cover completely covering said support strips in the space between said rod supports, in the space above a top said rod support and in the space below a bottom said rod support.
- 24. A hanging rod assembly according to claim 23 wherein said cover further comprises a cap section.
- 25. A hanging rod assembly according to claim 24 wherein said cap section further comprises a body having a cap cavity.
- 26. A hanging rod assembly according to claim 25 further comprising a clip extending from said cap cavity, said clip configured to matably engage an upper edge of said support strip.
- 27. A hanging rod assembly according to claim 26 wherein said cap section further comprises an interior surface and an upper surface and wherein said clip further comprises two downwardly extending tabs.
- 28. A hanging rod assembly according to claim 27 wherein said tabs form an engagement space between said tabs and said interior space of said cap section.
- 29. A hanging rod assembly according to claim 28 wherein said engagement space narrows in width as said engagement space approaches said upper surface of said cap section.
- 30. A hanging rod assembly according to claim 23 wherein said cover further comprises a hanging casing comprising an elongated body having an upper end and a lower end and a channel sized to enclose a portion of said support strip.
- 31. A hanging rod assembly according to claim 30 wherein said cover further comprises an interior cavity.
- 32. A hanging rod assembly according to claim 31 wherein said hanging casing is configured to fit within and depend from said interior cavity.
- 33. A hanging rod assembly according to claim 32 wherein said hanging casing is configured to engage said interior cavity.
- 34. A hanging rod assembly according to claim 33 wherein said interior cavity is provided with a plurality of grooves.
- 35. A hanging rod assembly according to claim 34 wherein said hanging casing has an exterior, said exterior provided with at least one tongue sized to engage said grooves in said cavity.
