Claims
- 1. A video camera apparatus comprising:
- image pickup means for photoelectrically converting an optical image formed on its image pickup plane into a video signal;
- focus adjusting means for focusing the optical image on the image pickup surface;
- electronic magnification varying means for electronically varying an image magnification by signal processing; and
- control means for controlling an operation of said focus adjusting means in manners which differ between a state wherein the image magnification is varied by said electronic magnification varying means and a state wherein the image magnification is not varied by said electronic magnification varying means.
- 2. A video camera apparatus according to claim 1, wherein said focus adjusting means includes a focusing lens, and further includes discriminating means for vibrating the focusing lens back and forth on an optical axis and discriminating a state of focus on the basis of a variation of a focus signal which occurs at that time.
- 3. A video camera apparatus according to claim 2, wherein said control means varies an amplitude of a vibration of the focusing lens according to whether the image magnification is varied by said electronic magnification varying means.
- 4. A video camera apparatus according to claim 1, wherein said focus controlling means includes a focusing lens, said focus controlling means varying an amount of overshoot of the focusing lens according to whether the image magnification is varied by said electronic magnification varying means.
- 5. A video camera apparatus according to claim 1, wherein said control means varies a restarting condition of said focus adjusting means according to whether the image magnification is varied by said electronic magnification varying means.
- 6. A video camera apparatus according to claim 1, wherein said control means varies a focusing speed according to whether the image magnification is varied by said electronic magnification varying means.
- 7. A video camera apparatus comprising:
- image pickup means for photoelectrically converting an optical image formed on its image pickup plane into a video signal;
- focus adjusting means for focusing the optical image on the image pickup surface;
- electronic magnification varying means for electronically varying an image magnification by signal processing; and
- control means for controlling an operation of said focus adjusting means in different manners according to an image magnification of said electronic magnification varying means.
- 8. A video camera apparatus according to claim 7, wherein said focus adjusting means includes a focusing lens, and further includes discriminating means for vibrating the focusing lens back and forth on an optical axis and discriminating a state of focus on the basis of a variation of a focus signal which occurs at that time.
- 9. A video camera apparatus according to claim 8, wherein said control means varies an amplitude of a vibration of the focusing lens according to the image magnification of said electronic magnification varying means.
- 10. A video camera apparatus according to claim 7, wherein said focus controlling means includes a focusing lens, said focus controlling means varying an amount of overshoot of the focusing lens according to the image magnification of said electronic magnification varying means.
- 11. A video camera apparatus according to claim 7, wherein said control means varies a restarting condition of said focus adjusting means according to the image magnification of said electronic magnification varying means.
- 12. A video camera apparatus according to claim 7, wherein said control means varies a focusing speed according to the image magnification of said electronic magnification varying means.
- 13. A video camera apparatus comprising:
- image pickup means for photoelectrically converting an optical image formed on its image pickup plane into a video signal;
- focus adjusting means for focusing the optical image on the image pickup surface;
- electronic magnification varying means for electronically varying an image magnification by signal processing; and
- control means for controlling said focus adjusting means in different manners according to whether said electronic magnification varying means is in operation.
- 14. A video camera apparatus according to claim 13, wherein said focus adjusting means includes a focusing lens, and further includes discriminating means for vibrating the focusing lens back and forth on an optical axis and discriminating a state of focus on the basis of a variation of a focus signal which occurs at that time.
- 15. A video camera apparatus according to claim 14, wherein said control means varies an amplitude of a vibration of the focusing lens according to whether said electronic magnification varying means is in operation.
- 16. A video camera apparatus according to claim 13, wherein said focus controlling means includes a focusing lens, said focus controlling means varying an amount of overshoot of the focusing lens according to whether said electronic magnification varying means is in operation.
- 17. A video camera apparatus according to claim 13, wherein said control means varies a restarting condition of said focus adjusting means according to whether said electronic magnification varying means is in operation.
- 18. A video camera apparatus according to claim 13, wherein said control means varies a focusing speed according to whether said electronic magnification varying means is in operation.
