CROSS-REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATIONS

There are no related applications for this application.

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates, in general, to a glove attachment device useful for assisting a person, having grip of a video game remote controller, to use a remote controller during the motion of video game interaction. The present invention integrates one or more hook, or loop, material patches affixed on the palm side of a glove with corresponding one or more loop, or hook, material stripes affixed to one or more side walls of a video game remote controller to provide the hand with a generally secure grasp, and virtually no slippage, of the remote controller during video game use.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

Video games, such as the Nintendo Wii®, have remote controllers for the user to direct game play. These video game remote controllers are generally forceably grasped by the user's hand and usually put in motion according to the video game interactions. Sometimes the user's hand begins to collect perspiration and becomes sweaty during game use. This sweaty hand may cause the video game remote controller to slip out of the hand, with the potential of hitting something or someone. The possibility of having the video game remote controller slip out of the user's hand is a hazard that has not been properly addressed. There are sometimes ropes that connect the end of a video game remote controller with the human wrist, but this does not prevent the remote controller from slipping out of the palm of the hand when it becomes sweaty and perspires. There are sometimes tethers that connect the wrist to the center of the video game remote controller, however, the tether connection to the center of the remote controller may be in the way of the hand/fingers during video game play and button interaction. Also, there are sometimes gloves that will fit around the user's hand that allow one to forceably grasp the video game remote controller, but the glove may constrict remote controller feel and worsen video game performance for the user. The problem is that there is not a device that effectively allows the video game user to keep a grip on the remote controller during game interaction and remote controller motion, while still keeping a natural feel and true grasp with the remote controller during game play, while minimizing slippage between the user's hand and the video game remote controller and virtually eliminating the risk of having the video game remote controller slip out of the user's hand during operation.

Gloves, cord apparatuses, or other grippage tools are sometimes manufactured without any connection system(s) which might eliminate loss of grip. When such devices do exist, however, they are generally not a combination of both increased grasping ability while keeping a natural feel during game interaction and remote controller motion.

What is needed is a glove device that would offer increased hand grip of a video game remote controller during game interaction and remote controller motion, yet still provide a true and natural feel of the remote controller, while virtually eliminating the risk of having the video game remote controller slip out of the user's hand during operation. Such a glove device would satisfy the user's need for an improved grasp of the remote controller while eliminating the worry of the remote controller slipping out of the hand. The glove device will also facilitate better video game performance and skill level.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

In the preferred embodiment, the video game remote controller glove attachment device of the present invention allows users a generally secure hand grip of a video game remote controller with virtually no slippage and movement while in the palm of the hand. The glove attachment device will virtually eliminate a game remote controller from slipping out of the user's hand. The video game remote controller will stay generally secure in the palm of the hand by one or more hook material patches affixed thereto and removably connectable with one or more loop material stripes adhesively affixed to the corresponding one or more side walls of the video game remote controller. The hook and loop-type connection system will allow for the hand to grasp the remote controller with a natural feel without losing control. The loop material stripes are affixed to the corresponding side walls of the video game remote controller by the back sides of the loop material stripes with an adhesive substance. The one or more hook material patches are stitched onto the palm side of the fingerless glove. With the hook material patches and loop material stripes aligned, the hand within the glove grasps the video game remote controller allowing the one or more patches and one or more of the stripes to connect. After hook and loop connection, when the hand is not grasping the video game remote controller, it will generally remain embraced in the palm until forcefully taken off, thus disconnecting the hook and loop-type connection system.

In one aspect of the preferred embodiment of the present invention, one or more hook material patches are stitched onto the palm side of the fingerless glove.

In another aspect of the preferred embodiment of the present invention, the loop material stripes contain an adhesive substance on their back sides.

In yet another aspect of the preferred embodiment of the present invention, the adhesive substance on the back side of the loop material stripes connects the loop material stripes to one or more side walls of the video game remote controller.

In still yet another aspect of the preferred embodiment of the present invention, the one or more hook material patches stitched onto the palm side of the fingerless glove removably connect with one or more of the loop material stripes adhesively affixed to corresponding one or more side walls of the video game remote controller.

In another aspect of the preferred embodiment of the present invention, the fingerless glove, while attached to one or more of the loop material stripes through the hook and loop-type connection system, allows the video game remote controller to stay in a generally secure position in the palm while the hand is grasping the video game remote controller.

In yet another aspect of the preferred embodiment of the present invention, the hook and loop-type connection system connected between the one or more hook material patches and one or more of the loop material stripes allow the video game remote controller to stay in the palm of the hand when the hand is not grasping the video game remote controller.

In an alternative embodiment of the present invention, glove having fingers would have one or more loop material patches stitched onto the palm side of one or more fingers of the glove and the hook material stripes would be adhesively affixed to the corresponding one or more side walls of a video game remote controller.
