Claims
- 1. A video printer comprising:
- a chassis,
- a platen rotatably mounted on said chassis,
- a printing head, said printing head being operatively supported on said chassis so as to be moved between a pressure-contact position in which the printing head is pressure-contacted with said platen and a standby position in which said printing head is spaced apart from said platen,
- a roll for pressure-contacting a transfer sheet against said platen, said transfer sheet being guided by a sheet guide system through a space between said platen and said printing head as far as a sheet exit opening,
- a cutter provided at a position spaced apart from said printing head and proximate to said sheet exit opening, said printing head being moved to said pressure-contact position when said printer is printing and to said standby position when said printer is not printing,
- an image memory for storing image data,
- printing start inputting means for inputting a start of printing, and
- a number of times of printing inputting means for inputting a preset number of times of printing of one and the same image, the number of times of printing being set by inputting at said number of times of printing inputting means during a printing operation of an image responsive to said printing start inputting means.
- 2. A video printer as set forth in claim 1, further comprising:
- confirmation means for prompting visual and/or audible confirmation by a user, the number of times of printing being set by inputting as said number of times of printing inputting means during a printing operation responsive to said printing start inputting means, and said confirmation means being operated based on an input at said a number of times of printing inputting means.
- 3. The video printer as defined in claim 2, wherein said confirmation means perform a predetermined operation of permitting the user to recognize that setting of a number of times of printing as set by said number of times of printing inputting means is invalid if the number of times of printing as set exceeds a certain threshold.
- 4. The video printer as claimed in claim 2 wherein said confirmation means is a buzzer.
- 5. The video printer as claimed in claim 2 wherein said confirmation means is a light emitting diode.
