Claims
- 1. An information signal recording and reproducing system, comprising:
- (A) a first apparatus including:
- (a) a recording and reproducing head;
- (b) a switch connected to said head and having a first state for making said head perform a recording and a second state for making said head perform a reproduction;
- (c) a recording circuit which processes an information signal inputted therein and supplies the information signal as a recording signal to said head through said switch in the first state;
- (d) moving means for relatively moving a recording medium and said head; and
- (e) a first operating member which can instruct said head to start a recording by a manual operation, said first operating member being unable to instruct said head to start a reproduction;
- (B) a second apparatus electrically and mechanically attachable to and detachable from said first apparatus, including:
- (a) a reproducing circuit which has a signal reproduced at said head inputted therein through said switch in the second state and processes the reproduced signal and outputs it as a produced information signal; and
- (b) a second operation member which can instruct said head to start said reproducing by a manual operation; and
- (C) control means for controlling the system so that said first operating member cannot instruct said head to start a recording while said second apparatus is electrically and mechanically attached to said first appearance.
- 2. A system according to claim 1, wherein said control means further controls said switch so that said switch takes said second state while said second apparatus is electrically and mechanically attached to said first apparatus.
- 3. A system according to claim 1, wherein said first apparatus is useable with a video camera, and can record a video signal from the video camera by said head.
- 4. A system according to claim 1, wherein said second operation member can instruct said moving means to relatively move said recording medium and said head.
- 5. A system according to claim 4, wherein said moving means includes a first motor for moving said head and a second motor for moving said recording medium.
- 6. A system according to claim 5, wherein said first apparatus further includes a first control circuit for controlling said first motor while said switch is in the first state, and said second apparatus further includes a second control circuit for controlling said first motor while said switch is in the second state.
- 7. A video signal recording and reproducing system, comprising:
- (A) a first apparatus, including:
- (a) a recording and reproducing head arranged to trace a recording medium;
- (b) a recording circuit which processes a video signal from a video camera and supplies a recording signal;
- (c) a first operating member which can instruct said head to start a recording by a manual operation, said first operating member being unable to instruct said head to start a reproduction; and
- (d) a switching circuit including, a first switch which is connected to said head and can take a first state for supplying the recording signal to said head and a second state for outputting a reproduced signal from said head, and a second switch which can annul the manual operation of said first operating member;
- (B) a second apparatus electrically and mechanically attachable to and detachable from said first apparatus, including:
- (a) a reproducing circuit which processes the reproduced signal from said first switch and outputs a reproduced video signal; and
- (b) a second operation member which can instruct said head to start said reproducing by a manual operation; and
- (C) a control device, including:
- (a) a detection circuit which detects that said second apparatus is electrically and mechanically attached to said first apparatus, and produces a detection signal; and
- (b) control circuit for controlling said switching circuit so that said second switch annuls the manual operation of said manual operation while said switching circuit is in said second state in response to the detection signal.
