Claims
- 1. A lighting device comprising:
a pair of illuminating members arranged side-by-side, the illuminating members having respective anodes, and a common cathode that is shared by the illuminating members.
- 2. The lighting device of claim 1 wherein each of the illuminating members is a light-emitting diode.
- 3. The lighting device of claim 1 wherein the common cathode has a same cross-sectional shape as each of the anodes.
- 4. The lighting device of claim 1 wherein the common cathode includes a pair of individual cathodes that are soldered together.
- 5. An electrical connector comprising:
a housing which holds electrical contacts that are engageable with contacts of a mating electrical connector, and a pair of illuminating members arranged side-by-side, the illuminating members having respective anodes, and a common cathode that is shared by the illuminating members.
- 6. The electrical connector of claim 5 wherein each of the illuminating members is a light-emitting diode.
- 7. The electrical connector of claim 5 wherein the common cathode has a same cross-sectional shape as each of the anodes.
- 8. The electrical connector of claim 5 wherein the common cathode includes a pair of individual cathodes that are soldered together.
- 9. An electrical connector comprising:
a housing that includes a plurality of electrical receptacles, a respective array of contacts in each of the receptacles, and a visual indicator subassembly including a pair of illuminating members arranged side-by-side, the illuminating members having respective anodes, and a common cathode that is shared by the illuminating members.
- 10. The electrical connector of claim 9 wherein each of the illuminating members is a light-emitting diode.
- 11. The electrical connector of claim 9 wherein the common cathode has a same cross-sectional shape as each of the anodes.
- 12. The electrical connector of claim 9 wherein the common cathode includes a pair of individual cathodes that are soldered together.
- 13. The electrical connector of claim 9 wherein a said visual indicator subassembly is associated with each pair of adjacent said receptacles.
- 14. The electrical connector of claim 9 wherein the housing include a divider wall between each pair of adjacent said receptacles, and one said visual indicator subassembly is disposed below each said divider wall.
