This summary is not an extensive overview, and it is not intended to identify key/critical elements or to delineate the scope thereof. Its sole purpose is to present some general concepts in a simplified form as a prelude to the more detailed description that is presented later.

The subject matter disclosed and claimed herein, in one embodiment thereof, comprises a waist cape device. The device is a unique fashion accessory with versatile functions which is placed over clothing to stimulate a style or mood, as well as create a layer of style or color for matching or elevating apparel. Specifically, the waist cape device will create an illusion of curve in a user's glute area when in use. The waist cape device comprises a cape component which is fastened around a user's waist area during use.

In one embodiment, the waist cape device comprises a body portion or a cape component. The cape component consists of a body portion formed out of a single sheet of material and adapted to enhance a user's silhouette and accentuate a user's natural curves by creating an illusion or curve in a user's glute area. Specifically, the cape component drapes over a user's glutes and hips, as well as the corresponding front portion of a user's body, if desired.

The cape component comprises an outside surface, an interior surface, and opposing ends which are secured together. The cape component can be any suitable size and shape as is known in the art, depending on the wants and/or needs of a user. Typically, the cape component is a length of material positioned around a user's waist area, like a belt or waistband.
