Abstract
A wakeboard has a first outer shell, a second outer shell, a foam plate, an uneven portion, and a draining structure. The foam plate is wrapped in the first outer shell and the second outer shell. The uneven portion is formed on the first outer shell. The draining structure is formed at the uneven portion. The uneven portion is convenient for user to ride on. The draining structure prevents water from accumulating in the uneven portion.
Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to wakeboarding and more particularly to a wakeboard for water sports.


2. Description of Related Art

A conventional wakeboard is boat-like and multifunctional. The conventional wakeboard has a recess, a transparent plate, two first recesses, two air bags, a hook, and a counter weight. The recess with a boat-like outline is formed in an upper surface of the conventional wakeboard. The recess has a step bore disposed at an end of the recess. The transparent plate is mounted in the step bore. The two first recesses are formed in a bottom surface of the recess and adjacent to the step bore. The two first recesses are symmetrical. The two air bags are disposed at a bottom of the conventional wakeboard. The hook is disposed between the two air bags. The counter weight is connected to the hook.


The conventional wakeboard with an integral and simple structure has advantages of being rigid and durable. A user rests in the recess, and two shanks of the user respectively accommodated in the two first recesses, thereby promoting comfortable experience of the user. The user may see through the transparent plate to observe the underwater environments. The counter weight mounted to the hook is able to promote stability of the conventional wakeboard. However, the recess of the conventional wakeboard is difficult to discharge water after waterlogging. The conventional wakeboard is inconvenient for carriage and has limited functions. Therefore, the structure of the conventional wakeboard needs to be improved.


To overcome the shortcomings of the conventional wakeboard, the present invention provides a wakeboard to mitigate or obviate the aforementioned problems.


SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The main objective of the present invention is to provide a wakeboard that provides easy riding and is free from waterlogging.


The wakeboard comprises a first outer shell, a second outer shell, a foam plate, an uneven portion, and a draining structure. The foam plate is wrapped in the first outer shell and the second outer shell. The uneven portion is formed on the first outer shell. The draining structure is formed at the uneven portion. The uneven portion is convenient for a user to ride thereon. The draining structure prevents water from accumulating in the uneven portion.


Other objects, advantages, and novel features of the invention will become more apparent from the following detailed description when taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

The present invention provides a wakeboard. With reference to FIGS. 1 to 6, the wakeboard has a lengthwise direction, a first end, a second end, two side edges, a first outer shell 1, a foam plate 2, a second outer shell 3, an uneven portion 11, a draining structure, a receiving recess 17, a storing unit, two anti-slip mats 7, a buffering block 8, a first buckle 18, and a second buckle 19. The first end and the second end of the wakeboard are opposite each other in the lengthwise direction of the wakeboard. The two side edges extend along the lengthwise direction of the wakeboard. The foam plate 2 is wrapped in the first outer shell 1 and the second outer shell 3. The uneven portion 11 is formed on the first outer shell 1. The draining structure is formed at the uneven portion 11.


With reference to FIGS. 1 and 2, the uneven portion 11 has a first recessed portion, a second recessed portion, a third recessed portion disposed between the first recessed portion and the second recessed portion, and two curved protrusions. The first recessed portion of the uneven portion 11 is adjacent to the first end of the wakeboard, and has a parabolic edge with two ends. The two ends of the parabolic edge of the first recessed portion face to the third recessed portion of the uneven portion 11. The second recessed portion of the uneven portion 11 is disposed adjacent to the second end of the wakeboard, and inclines to the third recessed portion of the uneven portion 11. The second recessed portion of the uneven portion 11 has a U-shaped edge with two ends. The two ends of the U-shaped edge of the second recessed portion of the uneven portion 11 face to the third recessed portion of the uneven portion 11. The third recessed portion of the uneven portion 11 has two lateral edges. The two lateral edges of the third recessed portion extend along the lengthwise direction of the wakeboard and are parallel to each other. The two lateral edges of the third recessed portion of the uneven portion 11 are respectively adjacent to the two side edges of the wakeboard. Each one of the two lateral edges of the third recessed portion of the uneven portion 11 has two opposite ends respectively facing the first recessed portion and the second recessed portion of the uneven portion 11. The two curved protrusions are a first curved protrusion 12 and a second curved protrusion 13. The first curved protrusion 12 is disposed between the first recessed portion and the third recessed portion of the uneven portion 11. The second curved protrusion 13 is disposed between the second recessed portion and the third recessed portion of the uneven portion 11.


With reference to FIGS. 1 and 2, the draining structure is formed at the uneven portion 11 and has two first draining gaps 14, two second draining gaps 16, and four third draining gaps 15. The two first draining gaps 14 are respectively disposed at the two ends of the parabolic edge of the first recessed portion of the uneven portion 11. The two second draining gaps 16 are respectively disposed at the two ends of the U-shaped edge of the second recessed portion of the uneven portion 11. The four third draining gaps 15 are respectively disposed at the four ends of the two lateral edges of the third recessed portion of the uneven portion 11.


The receiving recess 17 is disposed at the third recessed portion of the uneven portion 11 adjacent to the first curved protrusion 12. The storing unit has a storing container 4, a gripping handle 5, and a cover 41. The storing container 4 and the gripping handle 5 are integrally formed together. The cover 41 of the storing unit is mounted on the storing container 4, is adjacent to an opening of the storing container 4, and is able to block the opening of the storing container 4. The cover 41 is able to move relative to the storing container 4 and may be mounted to the storing container 4 by a hinge. Or the cover 41 may engage with the storing container 4. The gripping handle 5 has a receiving chamber 51. The receiving chamber 51 has a wide area and two narrow areas communicating with the wide area. The wide area of the receiving chamber 51 has a width and is designed for insertion of fingers. The two narrow areas of the receiving chamber 51 are designed for accommodating a paddle blade 6 of a push pole paddle. One of the two narrow areas is adjacent to the storing container 4. The other one of the two narrow areas of the receiving chamber 51 is distal from the storing container 4. Each one of the two narrow areas of the receiving chamber 51 has a width smaller than the width of the wide area of the receiving chamber 51.


The two anti-slip mats 7 are adhered to the third recessed portion of the uneven portion 11. The buffering block 8 is mounted to the second end of the wakeboard. The foam plate 2 is made of Polystyrene and has four frames 21. The four frames 21 are two reinforced frames and two wooden frames. The two reinforced frames are made of fiber-reinforced plastic, extend along the lengthwise direction of the wakeboard, and are mounted inside the foam plate 2. The two wooden frames extend along the lengthwise direction of the wakeboard, are mounted inside the foam plate 2, and are disposed between the two reinforced frames. A whistle may be tied to the first outer shell 1 for calling for help in case of danger or emergency.


The uneven portion 11 is convenient for a user to stand and sit thereon. The draining structure formed at the uneven portion 11 is able to discharge accumulated water in time. The storing container 4 of the storing unit is designed for storing a cell phone, a wallet, and so on. The gripping handle 5 of the storing unit is designed for the user to grip and carry the wakeboard by one hand. The gripping handle 5 makes the wakeboard in accordance with the present invention easy to carry. The receiving chamber 51 of the gripping handle 5 is able to be inserted by a paddle blade 6 of a push pole paddle. A push pole of the push pole paddle may be attached by a sail. The user may stand on the wakeboard, hold the push pole by one hand, and pull a rope attached to the sail and distal from the push pole to expand the sail. The user may sail by the wind force. The two anti-slip mats 7 adhered to the third recessed portion of the uneven portion 11 promote the non-slip ability of the wakeboard and keep the user from slipping.

  • 1. A wakeboard comprising: a first outer shell;a second outer shell;a foam plate wrapped in the first outer shell and the second outer shell;an uneven portion formed on the first outer shell; anda draining structure formed at the uneven portion.
  • 2. The wakeboard as claimed in claim 1, wherein the uneven portion has a first recessed portion;a second recessed portion;a third recessed portion disposed between the first recessed portion and the second recessed portion; andtwo curved protrusions, one of the two curved protrusions disposed between the first recessed portion and the third recessed portion, and the other one of the two curved protrusions disposed between the second recessed portion and the third recessed portion; andthe draining structure has at least one first draining gap communicating with the first recessed portion;at least one second draining gap communicating with the second recessed portion; andat least one third draining gap communicating with the third recessed portion.
  • 3. The wakeboard as claimed in claim 2, wherein the first recessed portion has a parabolic edge with two ends;the at least one first draining gap comprises two first draining gaps; andthe two first draining gaps are respectively disposed at the two ends of the parabolic edge of the first recessed portion.
  • 4. The wakeboard as claimed in claim 2, wherein the third recessed portion has two lateral edges;the two lateral edges are parallel to each other and extend along a lengthwise direction of the wakeboard, and each one of the two lateral edges has two opposite ends;the at least one third draining gap comprises four third draining gaps; andthe four third draining gaps are respectively disposed at the four ends of the two lateral edges of the third recessed portion.
  • 5. The wakeboard as claimed in claim 2, wherein the second recessed portion inclines to the third recessed portion and has a U-shaped edge with two ends, and the two ends of the U-shaped edge of the second recessed portion face to the curved protrusion that divides the second recessed portion and the third recessed portion;the at least one second draining gap comprises two second draining gaps; andthe two second draining gaps are respectively disposed at the two ends of the U-shaped edge of the second recessed portion.
  • 6. The wakeboard as claimed in claim 2, wherein the wakeboard has a receiving recess disposed at the third recessed portion; anda storing unit having a storing container; anda gripping handle;wherein the storing container of the storing unit and the gripping handle of the storing unit are embedded in the receiving recess adjacent to the curved protrusion that divides the first recessed portion and the third recessed portion.
  • 7. The wakeboard as claimed in claim 3, wherein the wakeboard has a receiving recess disposed at the third recessed portion; anda storing unit having a storing container; anda gripping handle;wherein the storing container of the storing unit and the gripping handle of the storing unit are embedded in the receiving recess adjacent to the curved protrusion that divides the first recessed portion and the third recessed portion.
  • 8. The wakeboard as claimed in claim 4, wherein the wakeboard has a receiving recess disposed at the third recessed portion; anda storing unit having a storing container; anda gripping handle;wherein the storing container of the storing unit and the gripping handle of the storing unit are embedded in the receiving recess adjacent to the curved protrusion that divides the first recessed portion and the third recessed portion.
  • 9. The wakeboard as claimed in claim 5, wherein the wakeboard has a receiving recess disposed at the third recessed portion; anda storing unit having a storing container; anda gripping handle;wherein the storing container of the storing unit and the gripping handle of the storing unit are embedded in the receiving recess adjacent to the curved protrusion that divides the first recessed portion and the third recessed portion.
  • 10. The wakeboard as claimed in claim 6, wherein the storing container of the storing unit and the gripping handle of the storing unit are integrally formed together; andthe storing unit has a cover adjacent to an opening of the storing container;the cover is mounted on the storing container and able to block the opening of the storing container.
  • 11. The wakeboard as claimed in claim 7, wherein the storing container of the storing unit and the gripping handle of the storing unit are integrally formed together; andthe storing unit has a cover adjacent to an opening of the storing container;the cover is mounted on the storing container and able to block the opening of the storing container.
  • 12. The wakeboard as claimed in claim 8, wherein the storing container of the storing unit and the gripping handle of the storing unit are integrally formed together; andthe storing unit has a cover adjacent to an opening of the storing container;the cover is mounted on the storing container and able to block the opening of the storing container.
  • 13. The wakeboard as claimed in claim 9, wherein the storing container of the storing unit and the gripping handle of the storing unit are integrally formed together; andthe storing unit has a cover adjacent to an opening of the storing container;the cover is mounted on the storing container and able to block the opening of the storing container.
  • 14. The wakeboard as claimed in claim 10, wherein the gripping handle has a receiving chamber having a wide area disposed at a middle position of the gripping handle, having a width, and designed for insertion of fingers;two narrow areas communicating with the wide area and designed for accommodating a paddle blade of a push pole paddle; andeach one of the two narrow areas has a width thinner than the width of the wide area.
  • 15. The wakeboard as claimed in claim 11, wherein the gripping handle has a receiving chamber having a wide area disposed at a middle position of the gripping handle, having a width, and designed for insertion of fingers;two narrow areas communicating with the wide area and designed for accommodating a paddle blade of a push pole paddle; andeach one of the two narrow areas has a width thinner than the width of the wide area.
  • 16. The wakeboard as claimed in claim 12, wherein the gripping handle has a receiving chamber having a wide area disposed at a middle position of the gripping handle, having a width, and designed for insertion of fingers;two narrow areas communicating with the wide area and designed for accommodating a paddle blade of a push pole paddle; andeach one of the two narrow areas has a width thinner than the width of the wide area.
  • 17. The wakeboard as claimed in claim 13, wherein the gripping handle has a receiving chamber having a wide area disposed at a middle position of the gripping handle, having a width, and designed for insertion of fingers;two narrow areas communicating with the wide area and designed for accommodating a paddle blade of a push pole paddle; andeach one of the two narrow areas has a width thinner than the width of the wide area.
  • 18. The wakeboard as claimed in claim 2, wherein the wakeboard has a lengthwise direction;a first end;a second end opposite the first end of the wakeboard in the lengthwise direction of the wakeboard;a first buckle mounted on the first outer shell, adjacent to the first end of the wakeboard, and capable of connecting to a rope;a second buckle mounted on the first outer shell, adjacent to the second end of the wakeboard, and capable of connecting to the rope;a plurality of anti-slip mats adhered to the third recessed portion; anda buffering block mounted at the second end of the wakeboard.
  • 19. The wakeboard as claimed in claim 3, wherein the wakeboard has a lengthwise direction;a first end;a second end opposite the first end of the wakeboard in the lengthwise direction of the wakeboard;a first buckle mounted on the first outer shell, adjacent to the first end of the wakeboard, and capable of connecting to a rope;a second buckle mounted on the first outer shell, adjacent to the second end of the wakeboard, and capable of connecting to the rope;a plurality of anti-slip mats adhered to the third recessed portion; anda buffering block mounted at the second end of the wakeboard.
  • 20. The wakeboard as claimed in claim 4, wherein the wakeboard has a first end;a second end opposite the first end of the wakeboard in the lengthwise direction of the wakeboard;a first buckle mounted on the first outer shell, adjacent to the first end of the wakeboard, and capable of connecting to a rope;a second buckle mounted on the first outer shell, adjacent to the second end of the wakeboard, and capable of connecting to the rope;a plurality of anti-slip mats adhered to the third recessed portion; anda buffering block mounted at the second end of the wakeboard.
  • 21. The wakeboard as claimed in claim 5, wherein the wakeboard has a lengthwise direction;a first end;a second end opposite the first end of the wakeboard in the lengthwise direction of the wakeboard;a first buckle mounted on the first outer shell, adjacent to the first end of the wakeboard, and capable of connecting to a rope; anda second buckle mounted on the first outer shell, adjacent to the second end of the wakeboard, and capable of connecting to the rope;a plurality of anti-slip mats adhered to the third recessed portion; anda buffering block mounted at the second end of the wakeboard.
  • 22. The wakeboard as claimed in claim 2, wherein the foam plate is made of Polystyrene and has two reinforced frames mounted inside the foam plate and made of fiber-reinforced plastic; andtwo wooden frames mounted inside the foam plate and disposed between the two reinforced frames.
  • 23. The wakeboard as claimed in claim 3, wherein the foam plate is made of Polystyrene and has two reinforced frames mounted inside the foam plate and made of fiber-reinforced plastic; andtwo wooden frames mounted inside the foam plate and disposed between the two reinforced frames.
  • 24. The wakeboard as claimed in claim 4, wherein the foam plate is made of Polystyrene and has two reinforced frames mounted inside the foam plate and made of fiber-reinforced plastic; andtwo wooden frames mounted inside the foam plate and disposed between the two reinforced frames.
