a frame including a first upright segment and a second upright segment laterally spaced apart from the first upright segment, a seat including a frame and a seat member, the frame having a back segment and a seat segment coupled to the back segment, the seat member having a support wall, an oppositely facing wall, a front section coupled to the seat segment, and a rear section coupled to the first and second vertical uprights for movement about a pivot axis between a use position and a storage position, and wherein the back segment and the first upright segment cooperate to limit pivotal movement of the seat in a first direction when the seat is in the use position.
- 46. The walker apparatus of claim 45 in which the seat segment and the first upright cooperate to limit pivotal movement of the seat in a second direction opposite the first direction when the seat is in the storage position.
- 47. The walker apparatus of claim 45 and further comprising a latch mounted to the first upright segment, the latch being positioned and arranged to engage the back segment to limit pivotal movement of the seat in a second direction opposite the first direction when the seat is in the use position.
- 48. The walker apparatus of claim 47 in which the seat segment and the first upright cooperate to limit pivotal movement of the seat in the second direction opposite the first direction when the seat is in the storage position.
- 49. The walker apparatus of claim 45 further comprising two laterally spaced arm segments extending between and coupled to the back and the seat segments
- 50. The walker apparatus of claim 49 wherein the first and second upright segments are positioned to lie between the two arm segments.
- 51. The walker apparatus of claim 45 wherein the support wall and the oppositely facing wall define an article-receiving chamber.
- 52. The walker apparatus of claim 45 and further comprising a back member coupled to the back segment for supporting a lower back of a user sitting on the seat member when the seat is in the use position.
- 53. A walker apparatus comprising:
a frame to support a person when standing and walking, the frame configured to be in front of the person, and a seat mounted on the frame for pivotal movement about a horizontal axis between a generally horizontally disposed use position and a generally vertically disposed storage position.
- 54. The walker apparatus of claim 53, the seat comprising a support frame and a seat member coupled for movement together.
- 55. The walker apparatus of claim 53, the seat comprising a back.
- 56. The walker apparatus of claim 55, the seat further comprising a support frame and a seat member, the seat member, support frame and back being coupled for movement together.
