Abstract
Disclosed is a wall panel for basket, which includes a -shaped frame, and a flat bamboo panel, which is formed of a plurality of annular bamboo stem elements peripherally fastened to one another and fastened to the -shaped frame.
Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

(a) Technical Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to a bamboo container and more particularly, to a wall panel for a basket, which is made of waste bamboo materials.

(b) Description of the Prior Art

Various materials including ceramics, glass, wood, bamboo, plastics, stainless steel, and etc., may be used for king baskets, filing boxes, and other containers. A wooden or bamboo container shows a sense of antique beauty. Small wooden and bamboo containers are widely invited by consumers everywhere for keeping jewels and other precious small personal items. Containers having open spaces in the peripheral wall are the hot items in market.

Regular commercial bamboo containers commonly comprise a frame structure and a plurality of bamboo strips fastened to the frame structure. The bamboo strips may be directly bonded to the frame structure with glue. Alternatively, bamboo strips may be fastened together with wires to form flat bamboo panels that are then fastened to the flame structure at different sides.

FIG. 8 shows a rectangular bamboo basket according to the prior art. FIG. 9 shows a bamboo filing box according to the prior art. According to these two prior art designs, the bamboo basket or filing box is formed of a plurality of horizontal bamboo sticks and vertical bamboo sticks. FIG. 10 shows a conical bamboo basket according to the prior art. According to this design, each wall panel of the conical bamboo basket is formed of bamboo strips by weaving.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The primary purpose of the present invention is to provide a wall panel for a basket, which is made of waste bamboo materials. According to one aspect of the present invention, a wall panel for a basket is comprised of a custom character-shaped frame, and a flat bamboo panel fastened to the custom character-shaped frame. The wall panel is formed of a plurality of annular bamboo stem elements peripherally fastened to one another. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the annular bamboo stem elements each have a plurality of peripheral pins and peripheral pinholes. By engaging one peripheral pin of one annular bamboo stem element into one peripheral pinhole of another annular bamboo stem element, the bamboo stem elements are fastened together, forming the desired flat bamboo panel.

According to another embodiment of the present invention, the annular bamboo stem elements each have a plurality of notches, and wedge blocks are used and engaged into the notches to secure the annular bamboo stem elements to one another.

According to still another embodiment of the present invention, glue is used to bond the annular bamboo stem elements to one another, forming the desired flat bamboo panel.

In general, the invention collects waste annular bamboo stem chips from a bamboo processing work, and then fasten collected waste annular bamboo stem chips to one another peripherally to form flat bamboo panels for making wall panels for basket, filing box, or the like.

The foregoing object and summary provide only a brief introduction to the present invention. To fully appreciate these and other objects of the present invention as well as the invention itself, all of which will become apparent to those skilled in the art, the following detailed description of the invention and the claims should be read in conjunction with the accompanying drawings. Throughout the specification and drawings identical reference numerals refer to identical or similar parts.

Many other advantages and features of the present invention will become manifest to those versed in the art upon making reference to the detailed description and the accompanying sheets of drawings in which a preferred structural embodiment incorporating the principles of the present invention is shown by way of illustrative example.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

The following descriptions are of exemplary embodiments only, and are not intended to limit the scope, applicability or configuration of the invention in any way. Rather, the following description provides a convenient illustration for implementing exemplary embodiments of the invention. Various changes to the described embodiments may be made in the function and arrangement of the elements described without departing from the scope of the invention as set forth in the appended claims.

Referring to FIG. 1, a rectangular basket is shown comprising a top basket frame 2, a bottom basket frame 20, custom character-shaped basket frames 21 connected between the top basket frame 2 and the bottom basket frame 20, and a plurality of flat bamboo panels fastened to the custom character-shaped basket frames 21 between the top basket frame 2 and the bottom basket frame 20 and arranged at four sides. Each flat bamboo panel is formed of a plurality of annular bamboo stem elements 1 that are approximately equal in height and peripherally fastened to one another.

FIG. 2 shows a filing box constructed according to the present invention. The peripheral walls of the filing box are formed of flat bamboo panels that are respectively formed of a plurality of annular bamboo stem elements 1 that are peripherally fastened to one another. Further, each flat bamboo panel of the filing box has the respective inner side covered with a sheet of inner lining 22. FIG. 3 shows a conical basket of which each peripheral wall is formed of a plurality of annular bamboo stem elements 1 that are peripherally fastened to one another.

Referring to FIG. 4, the annular bamboo stem elements 1 each have a plurality of peripheral pins 11 and peripheral pinholes 12. By plugging the peripheral pins 11 of one annular bamboo stem element 1 to the peripheral pinholes 12 of another, the annular bamboo stem elements 1 are fastened together.

Referring to FIG. 5, the annular bamboo stem elements 1 each have a plurality of notches 12, and a plurality wedge blocks 14 are respectively fitted into the notches 12 to secure the annular bamboo stem elements 1 together, i.e., each wedge block 14 has a first half engaged into one notch 12 of a first annular bamboo stem element 1 and a second half engaged into one notch 12 of a second annular bamboo stem element 1 to secure the two annular bamboo stem elements 1 together.

Referring to FIG. 6, the annular bamboo stem elements 1 may be peripherally fastened to one another with glue.

Referring to FIG. 7, when a flat bamboo panel is obtained subject to either of the aforesaid three mounting methods shown in FIGS. 4-6, the flat bamboo panel is fastened to a custom character-shaped basket frame 21, forming a wall panel for basket.

It will be understood that each of the elements described above, or two or more together may also find a useful application in other types of methods differing from the type described above.

While certain novel features of this invention have been shown and described and are pointed out in the annexed claim, it is not intended to be limited to the details above, since it will be understood that various omissions, modifications, substitutions and changes in the forms and details of the device illustrated and in its operation can be made by those skilled in the art without departing in any way from the spirit of the present invention.
