- each of said door means including a thin sheetlike door member which is substantially flush with the respective side of said core structure when the door means is in said closed position, said door member having a pair of vertically extending edges, said door member being hingedly interconnected to said core structure along one said vertically extending edge for swinging movement of said door member about a substantially vertical hinge axis, the other vertically extending edge of the door member being free and disposed closely adjacent the respective end edge of the panel when the door means is in said closed position;
- each said door means also including a flexible fabric-like mat part positioned externally of and extending coextensively over said door member and being secured thereto adjacent the free edge thereof, said mat part being integral with and defining a portion of said side mat so as to define a substantially continuous exterior side surface which visually hides said door means when the door means is in said closed position;
- at least said first door means having a height which is significantly less than the height of said one panel so that said first door means projects vertically from one of said upper and lower edges and terminates at a space which is disposed vertically a substantial distance between said upper and lower edges, said space opening sidewardly of said one panel for communication with the respective channel; and
- a cover member removably but stationarily positioned on said one panel within said space directly adjacent one vertical end of said first door means, said cover member being approximately flush with the exterior side surface of said one panel and having opening means therethrough for permitting cables and/or connectors to project outwardly therethrough.
- 6. A system according to claim 5, including a closure element positioned directly behind and in supportive engagement with said door means when said door means is in said closed position, said closure element being disposed to close off the respective opening and extending vertically therealong throughout substantially the full height of the respective door means, said closure element being accessible and removable only when the door means is moved into said open position.
- 7. A system according to claim 6, wherein said door means includes upper and lower said door members which are independently swingable between said open and closed positions, said upper and lower door members being vertically spaced apart by said removable cover member, and a said closure element being removably but supportingly disposed behind each of said upper and lower door members, said closure elements associated with the upper and lower door members being vertically spaced apart so as to define said space therebetween in which the removable cover member is accommodated.
- 8. A system according to claim 5, including a removable divider wall fixed to said first channel means and extending vertically along the respective said channel for dividing said channel into generally parallel first and second channel-like spaces, said divider wall cooperating with said first channel means to substantially close off said first channel-like space and isolate said first channel-like space from said second channel-like space, said second channel-like space being readily accessible through said first opening.
