1. Field of the Invention
The invention generally relates to a wall unit. More particularly, the invention relates to a wall unit used in construction by which the installation process may be simplified, the waste of resources and the generation of waste may be reduced and the sturdiness and appearance of walls are not adversely affected.
2. Description of the Prior Art
With the fast pace of urbanization, buildings emerge quickly and trees and grass disappear swiftly. In addition, because streets and roads in a city are usually paved with asphalt or concrete, they absorb more radiation and thus heat from the sun and block the entry of water into the ground, worsening global warming.
As living standards become higher, people become more demanding about living accommodations and thus building construction becomes more complex. For example, after the main structure of a building is constructed, a lot of money is spent to embellish the appearance by ceramic tiles, marble slats and paint. Such installation causes a rise in cost and generates waste, which is unfriendly to the environment. In addition, the presence of paint and other appearance enhancing material may reduce the effectiveness of air conditioners and hence result in more consumption of electricity.
To slow down the worsening of the environment, the future development of the construction industry must be strictly controlled and guided. Many big cities of the world have promoted “green building”, which emphasizes the repeated usage of construction material, the reduction of the complexity in :wall decoration, the avoidance of highly polluting paints and coatings and the increase in the numbers and sizes of parks, grass lands, ponds, etc. However, all these measures can not really solve the problem.
For construction companies, more work in installation means an increase in the cost and may lessen the structural strength of a building. Therefore, less modifications or work after installation means a reduction in the cost. However, with regard to newly installed walls, their surfaces are full of holes and cracks; therefore, they are an eyesore and dirt can get into these holes and cracks easily. Moreover, water and moisture can erode and damage their surfaces.
Also, such eyesore may adversely affect the mood of the people living in the building. Therefore, such approach needs to be improved.
In light of the above, the prior art approach has many disadvantages and needs to be improved.
To eliminate the disadvantages of the prior art approach, the inventor has put in a lot of effort in the subject and has successfully come up with the improved construction used wall unit of the present invention.
A first object of the present invention is to provide a wall unit by which no extra work or modification is needed after it is installed so as to reduce the waste of resources and the generation of waste as well as to make the installation more environmentally friendly.
A second object of the present invention is to provide a wall unit by which there is no need to install tiles, maintenance costs may be lowered and installed. wails may be more sturdy and safe.
A third object of the present invention is to provide a wall unit by which installation may be simplified, the quality of installation may be enhanced and installation takes a shorter period to complete.
To reach these objects, the improved wail unit used in construction of the present invention is disclosed. The wall unit of the present invention is mainly used for the construction and formation of walls of buildings. The wall unit of the present invention comprises a main body and a metallic net. The front surface is pre-fabricated and provided with designs, patterns and colors according to specifications. Therefore, after the wall unit is installed on a wall, no extra work or modification needs to be done on the front surface. The metallic net is disposed on the back of the main body and several steel strips are provided on the metallic net for the purpose of reinforcement after the metallic net is partially embedded into the main body. Because a portion of the metallic net and the steel strips stick out from the main body, such arrangement may facilitate the spot welding of the steel strips.
In practice, first, the steel strips are attached to a wall or a framework by hanging or spot welding. Then, concrete is poured into the space formed by and between the hack of the main body, the metallic net and the steel strips. Now, the installation is completed. In this way, thanks to the steel strips and the net, the bonding between the main body and the wall is stronger. Therefore, in this manner, the installed wall is structurally sturdy and no extra work or modification needs to be done on the front surfaces of these units.

A metallic net 2 is disposed on the back of the main body 1 and several steel strips 21 are provided on the metallic net 2 for the purpose of reinforcement after the metallic net 2 is partially embedded into the main body 1. In practice, first, the steel strips 21 and the portions of the net 2 that are not embedded in the main. body 1 are attached to a wall by hanging or spot welding. Then, concrete 3 is poured into the space formed by and between the back of the main body 1, the metallic net 2 and the steel strips 21. Now, installation is completed. In this way, thanks to the steel strips 21 and the net 2, the bonding between the main body 1 and the wall 10 is stronger.
After the installation is completed, only the front surface 11 is exposed and visible. Optionally, two wall units may first be affixed by welding in a back-to-back manner and after several pairs of units are so welded to each other, concrete may then be poured into the space formed in between. Therefore, in such manner, no extra work or modification needs to be done on the front surfaces 11 of these units.
A bonding slot 12 is provided on each of the four sides of each wall unit to enable a stronger bonding between the main bodies 1 of wall units.
