- 3. The apparatus described in claim 1 wherein:
said display includes a highly reflective surface with at least portions that reflect at least half of the visible light incident thereon to an observer at a position to view maximum reflection, and said pocket front wall has a front surface that surrounds said display and that reflects less than half of the visible light incident approximately normally thereon and that reflects such light diffusely.
- 4. The apparatus described in claim 1 wherein:
said display comprises a horizontally-elongated strip containing a highly reflective holographic-type image that reflects differing amounts of light in different directions, with the amount of light varying in steps of over 10% with angle changes of less than 5°.
- 5. The apparatus described in claim 1 wherein:
said holder includes a flap for holding it in a wallet.
- 6. The apparatus described in claim 1 wherein:
said holder in a self contained device and includes a front cover that can cover and uncover said pocket front wall.

said second vertical wall has an attention-getting display with at least a portion thereof lying above said first vertical wall top edge; said third vertical wall has an attention-getting display with at least a portion thereof lying above said second vertical wall top edge.
- 8. The apparatus described in claim 7 wherein:
said attention-getting displays lie on strips attached respectively to said second and third walls.
- 9. In a wallet that has a card storage region containing a card pocket with bottom, side, front and rear pocket walls that are constructed to hold a card of a predetermined height of about 2.1 inches, the front pocket wall having a top edge that lies more than one millimeter below the top of a fully installed card and the rear pocket wall extending a plurality of millimeters above said front pocket wall top edge, the improvement comprising:
an attention-getting display attached to said rear pocket wall with at least a portion of said display extending above said top edge of said front pocket wall, to grab the attention of the wallet owner when the display is not covered by the top portion of a card lying in the pocket.
- 10. The improvement described in claim 9 wherein:
said front and rear pocket walls are leather like and reflect light diffusely, while said display has at least portions that are highly reflective to reflect at least about half the incident light and reflect the light directly instead of diffusely.
- 11. The improvement described in claim 10 wherein:
