Claims
- 1. A method of washing fabric articles, comprising:
- providing a washing machine having a water store tank comprising a machine main body, an outer tank disposed to said main body, a washing tank rotatably supported within said outer tank and also serving as a water extraction tank, water feed means for feeding water to said washing tank, a top cover for said washing tank, an agitator disposed to the inside of said washing tank, rotational means for rotating said washing tank, a water store tank disposed to the washing machine main body, forward and backward water transfer means for transferring laundry water between said water store tank and said washing tank to each other, draining means for draining laundry water in the washing tank, and control means for automatically actuating each of said means;
- a first step of charging washing products into laundry water in the washing tank and keeping them for a predetermined period of time in laundry water and optionally rotating the agitator by the actuation of rotational means for said agitator during said predetermined period;
- a second step of transferring laundry water in the washing tank by means of the actuation of the forward water transfer means from the washing tank to the water store tank to store water in said water store tank;
- a third step of transferring laundry water stored in the water store tank from the water store tank to the washing tank by means of the actuation of the backward water transfer means;
- a fourth step of extracting water from the washing products by the actuation of rotational means for the washing tank between the second step and the third step in at least one cycle during repetition of the first through third steps in this order for more than one cycle; and
- a fifth step of draining laundry water by the actuation of the draining means.
- 2. The method as defined in claim 1, wherein the rotational means to the agitation is kept stationary in the first step.
- 3. The method as defined in claim 1, wherein the rotational means for the agitator provides at least one pair of stopping and actuation in the first step.
- 4. The method as defined in claim 3, wherein the actuation state comprises the alternative rightward and leftward rotations.
- 5. The method as defined in claim 3, wherein the stopping state is continued for a longer period of time than the actuation state.
- 6. The method as defined in claim 1, wherein the forward and backward water transfer means comprises a connection channel connecting the washing tank and the water store tank, and a connection valve and a pump disposed to said connection channel.
- 7. The method as defined in claim 6, wherein during the second step laundry water is transferred from the washing tank to the water store tank and stored in the latter by the actuation of the pump, delayed in operation by a second predetermined period of time after the actuation of the connection valve.
- 8. The method as defined in claim 7, wherein the second predetermined period of time is at least equal to the period during which air in the connection channel and in the pump are expelled by laundry water.
- 9. The method as defined in claim 1, wherein the forward water transfer means is temporarily stopped for a second predetermined period of time during the second step.
- 10. The method a defined in claim 1, wherein at least the washing tank has a detection means for judging the presence or absence of water and issuing an indication signal therefor.
- 11. A method of washing fabric articles, comprising:
- providing a washing machine having a water store tank comprising a machine main body, an outer tank disposed to said main body, a washing tank rotatably supported within said outer tank and also serving as a water extraction tank, water feed means for feeding water to said washing tank, a top cover for said washing tank, an agitator disposed to the inside of said washing tank, rotational means for rotational said washing tank, a water store tank disposed to the washing machine main body, forward and backward water transfer means for transferring laundry water between said water store tank and said washing tank to each other, draining means for draining laundry water in the washing tank, and control means for automatically actuating each of said means;
- a first step of charging washing products into laundry water in the washing tank and keeping them for a predetermined period of time in laundry water and optionally rotating the agitator by the actuation of rotational means for said agitator during said predetermined period;
- a second step of transferring laundry water in the washing tank by means of the actuation of the forward water transfer means from the washing tank to the water store tank to store water in said water store tank;
- a third step of transferring laundry water stored in the water store tank from the water store tank to the washing tank by means of the actuation of the backward water transfer means;
- a fourth step of extracting water from the washing products by the actuation of rotational means for the washing tank between the second step and the third step in at least one cycle during repitition of the first through third steps in this order for more than one cycle; and
- a fifth step of draining laundry water by the actuation of the draining means,
- wherein at least the washing tank has a detection means for judging the presence or absence of water and issuing an indication signal therefor, and wherein the reciprocal water transfer means is stopped if a signal from the detection means does not change during another predetermined time period in the second or third step.
- 12. A method of washing fabric articles, comprising:
- providing a washing machine having a water store tank comprising a machine main body, an outer tank disposed to said main body, a washing tank rotatably supported within said outer tank and also serving as a water extraction tank, water feed means for feeding water to said washing tank, a top cover for said washing tank, an agitator disposed to the inside of said washing tank, rotational means for rotating said washing tank, a water store tank disposed to the washing machine main body, forward and backward water transfer means for transferring laundry water between said water store tank and said washing tank to each other, draining means for draining laundry water in the washing tank, and control means for automatically actuating each of said means;
- a first step of charging washing products into laundry water in the washing tank and keeping them for a predetermined period of time in laundry water and optionally rotating the agitator by the actuation of rotational means for said agitator during said predetermined period;
- a second step of transferring laundry water in the washing tank by means of the actuation of the forward water transfer means from the washing tank to the water store tank to store water in said water store tank;
- a third step of transferring laundry water stored in the water store tank from the water store tank to the washing tank by means of the actuation of the backward water transfer means;
- a fourth step of extracting water from the washing products by the actuation of rotational means for the washing tank between the second step and the third step in at least one cycle during repitition of the first through third steps in this order for more than one cycle; and
- a fifth step of draining laundry water by the actuation of the draining means,
- wherein at least the washing tank has a detection means for judging the presence or absence of water and issuing an indication signal therefor, and wherein the water store tank also has a detection means for judging the presence or absence of water and issuing an indication signal therfor.
- 13. The method as definecd in claim 12, wherein the fifth step is carried out simultaneously with the second step upon a signal from the detection means of the water store tank indicative of absence of water in the water store tank.
- 14. A method of washing fabric articles, comprising:
- providing a washing machine having a water store tank comprising a machine main body, an outer tank disposed to said main body, a washing tank rotatably supported within said outer tank and also serving as a water extraction tank, water feed means for feeding water to said washing tank, a top cover for said washing tank, an agitator disposed to the inside of said washing tank, rotational means for rotating said washing tank, a water store tank disposed to the washing machine main body, forward and backward water transfer means for transferring laundry water between said water store tank and said washing tank to each other, draining means for draining laundry water in the washing tank, and control means for automatically actuating each of said means;
- a first step of charging washing products into laundry water in the washing tank and keeping them for a predetermined period of time in laundry water and optionally rotating the agitator by the actuation of rotational means for said agitator during said predetermined period;
- a second step of transferring laundry water in the washing tank by means of the actuation of the forward water transfer means from the washing tank to the water store tank to store water in said water store tank;
- a third step of transferring laundry water stored in the water store tank from the water store tank to the washing tank by means of the actuation of the backward water transfer means;
- a fourth step of extracting water from the washing products by the actuation of rotational means for the washing tank between the second step and the third step in at least one cycle during repitition of the first through third steps in this order for more than one cycle; and
- a fifth step of draining laundry water by the actuation of the draining means,
- wherein at least the washing tank has a detection means for judging the presence or absence of water and issuing an indication signal therefor, and wherein the water drain means is stopped if a signal from the detection means of the washing tank does not change within another predetermined of period in the fifth step.
- 15. The method as defined in clain 14, wherein the water draining means is released from its stopping state by the opening and closing operation of the top cover for the washing machine.
- 16. A method of washing fabric articles comprising the steps:
- a first step of charging fabric articles into laundry water in a washing tank and keeping them for a predetermined period of time in laundry water and optionally rotating an agitator by the actuation of a rotational means for said agitator during said predetermined period,
- a second step of transferring laundry water in said washing tank by actuating a forward water transfer means from said washing tank to a water store tank to store water in the latter,
- a third step of transferring laundry water stored in said water store tank by actuating a backward water transfer means from said water store tank to said washing tank,
- a fourth step of extracting water from said fabric articles by the actuation of rotational means for said washing tank between the second step and the third step in at least one cycle during repitition of the first through third steps in this order for more than one cycle, and
- a fifth step of draining laundry water by the actuation of draining means,
- wherein at least said washing tank has a detection means that judges the presence or absence of water and issues an indication signal therefor,
- wherein the water drain means is stopped if a signal from the detection means of the washing tank does not change within another predetermined period of time in the fifth step,
- wherein the water draining means is released from its stopping state by the opening and closing operation of a top cover for the washing machine.
- 17. A method of automatically washing fabric articles comprising the steps:
- a first step of automatically filling a washing tank containing fabric articles with laundry water and keeping said articles in said laundry water without substantial agitation for a predetermined period of time;
- a second step of automatically transferring laundry water in said washing tank to a water store tank to store said laundry water in said water store tank;
- a third step of automatically transferring laundry water stored in said water store tank from said water store tank to said washing tank;
- automatically extracting water from said fabric articles by rotating said washing tank between said second third steps in at least one cycle during repitition of said first through third steps in this order for more than one cycle; and automatically draining laundry water from said washing tank.
- 18. The method as defined by claim 17, wherein no agitation occurs during said first step.
- 19. The method as defined in claim 17, wherein the only agitation is provided by rotating an agitator first in one rotational direction, then stopping the agitator, then in the opposite direction, and then holding said agitator still for a period of time approximately twice as long as the total period for both opposed rotations and the stop between the two combined,
- said sequence defining one agitation cycle.
- 20. The method as defined by claim 19, wherein said agitation cycle is repeated a predetermined number of times.
- 21. The method as defined by claim 17, further comprising the steps:
- rinsing the fabric articles in the washing tank with clean water;
- extracting said rinsing water from said articles by rotating said washing tank; and
- draining said rinsing water from said washing tank.
