Abstract
The water and land walking device includes a pair of step bodies for a user to stand thereon and float on the water. Each step body includes one or multiple one-way water-resisting plates which are pivotally disposed on the step body and can be biased by a predetermined angle and two projecting fins for preventing the one-way water-resisting plates from contacting with the ground when walking on the ground. The walking device provides transportation, exercising and leisure functions.
Description


BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0001] The present invention relates to a water and land walking device for a user to stand thereon and walk on the water or on the ground. The walking device provides multiple functions of transportation, exercising and leisure.


[0002] A conventional small boat can float on water. A user can sit on the boat and paddle to move forward. However, the user cannot walk on the water. The user can stand up on two floating articles (such as water skis) with both feet. However, under such circumstance, the user can only float on the water, while failing to walk forward. Once the right foot of the user advances, the left foot of the user will move back and vice versa. Therefore, it is hard for the user to walk forward on the water or control the moving direction. Therefore, it is tried by the applicant to develop a water and land walking device enabling a user to walk on the water as well as on the bank.



SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0003] It is therefore a primary object of the present invention to provide a water and land walking device for a user to stand thereon and walk on the water. The walking device provides transportation, exercising and leisure functions.


[0004] It is a further object of the present invention to provide the above water and land walking device that also enables a user to walk on a bank beside the water. So, the user can conveniently get into the water from the bank or return to the bank from the water.


[0005] According to the above objects, the water and land walking device of the present invention includes a pair of step bodies for a user to stand thereon and float on the water. Each step body includes:


[0006] one or multiple one-way water-resisting plates which are pivotally disposed on the step body and can be biased by a predetermined angle; and


[0007] two projecting fins for preventing the one-way water-resisting plates from contacting with the ground when walking on the ground.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

[0015] Referring to FIGS. 1 to 4, the water and land walking device of the present invention includes a pair of boat-shaped step bodies 10 for a user 90 to stand thereon and float on the water. The water field is preferably a shallow one without big waves. The top face of each step body 10 is formed with a foot-shaped recess 11. A heel protective wall 13 is disposed on rear side of the recess 11. A protective strap 12 is bridged over the recess 11. The foot of the user 90 can fit into the recess 11. In practice, the step body 10 can be hollow or made of a material with low density (for floating on the water).


[0016] Each step body 10 includes one or multiple one-way water-resisting plates 20 and two projecting fins 30. In this embodiment, the step body 10 has three water-resisting plates 20.


[0017] The one-way water-resisting plate 20 is pivotally disposed on the step body 10 and can be biased by a predetermined angle θ of about 90 degrees. In addition, in a moving state, the water-resisting plate 20 is positioned in a substantially horizontal position with relatively low resistance (as shown by phantom line of FIG. 2). While in a still or a stopping state, the water-resisting plate 20 is positioned in a substantially vertical position with relatively high resistance (as shown by solid line of FIG. 2).


[0018] When walking on a land, especially a sandy ground beside the water, the two projecting fins 30 prevent the water-resisting plates 20 from contacting with the ground. The two projecting fins 30 are two elongated walls parallel to each other. They not only serve to protect the water-resisting plates 20, but also serve as a guide for rectifying the moving direction of the walking device in the water. The projecting fins 30 can be alternatively shaped as a frame or a mesh or other shaped.

FIGS. 3 and 4 show the operation of the present invention. In use, the left and right feet of the user respectively stand on the two step bodies 10. In the case that the right foot first moves forward, during the movement, the one-way water-resisting plates 20 of the right step body 10 are in a moving state and positioned in a substantially horizontal position with lower resistance. After which, the one-way water-resisting plates 20 will fall down into a substantially vertical suspending state due to their own weights. In this state, the one-way water-resisting plates 20 have better water-resisting effect. At this time, the user further moves his/her left foot forward. During the movement, the one-way water-resisting plates 20 of the left step body 10 are in a moving state and positioned in a substantially horizontal position with lower resistance. While the right step body 10 keeps in the stopping state (or just moves back a little). Thus, the user can walk on the water. Accordingly, the above operation can be repeated to walk forward on the water.


[0020] By means of the two projecting fins 30, with the walking device of the present invention, the user not only can walk on the water, but also can walk on the ground, especially the sandy bank 80 beside the water. Therefore, the user can conveniently get into the water from the bank or return to the bank from the water.

FIGS. 5 and 6 show a second embodiment of the present invention, in which the two projecting fins 30 define an elongated channel therebetween on the bottom face of the step body 10. A water-resisting assembly 50 made of stainless steel can be fixedly fitted into the channel. This facilitates manufacturing and assembly of the walking device. The water-resisting assembly 50 includes a frame body 51 and multiple one-way water-resisting plates 52 pivotally disposed on pivot seats 53. The bottom of the frame body 51 is formed with two bent sides 511, whereby the one-way water-resisting plates 52 can be only rotated within a predetermined angle θ. Accordingly, when one foot moves forward, the one-way water-resisting plates 52 under the foot will be biased into a state with low resistance. At the same time, the one-way water-resisting plates 52 under the other foot remain in a state with greater resistance. Therefore, a water-resisting effect is achieved for the user to walk forward on the water.


[0022] The walking device of the present invention has simple structure and can provide transportation, exercising and leisure functions.


[0023] The above embodiments are only used to illustrate the present invention, not intended to limit the scope thereof. Many modifications of the above embodiments can be made without departing from the spirit of the present invention.


Claims
  • 1. Water and land walking device comprising a pair of step bodies for a user to stand thereon and float on the water, each step body including: one or multiple one-way water-resisting plates which are pivotally disposed on the step body and can be biased by a predetermined angle; and two projecting fins for preventing the one-way water-resisting plates from contacting with a ground when walking on the ground.
  • 2. Water and land walking device as claimed in claim 1, wherein a top face of each step body is disposed with a foot-shaped recess, a heel protective wall and a protective strap, whereby a foot of the user can fit into the recess.
  • 3. Water and land walking device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the biasing angle of the one-way water-resisting plates is about 90 degrees and in a moving state, the one-way water-resisting plates are positioned in a substantially horizontal position with relatively low resistance, while in a still or an stopping state, the one-way water-resisting plates are positioned in a substantially vertical position with relatively high resistance.
  • 4. Water and land walking device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the two projecting fins are two elongated walls parallel to each other.
  • 5. Water and land walking device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the one-way water-resisting plates are pivotally disposed in a frame body of a water-resisting assembly, a bottom of the frame body being formed with two bent sides, whereby the one-way water-resisting plates can be only rotated within a predetermined angle.
