1. Filed of the Invention
The invention relates to a water drainage system for a blower.
2. Description of the Related Art
Furnace industry has minimized the use of fuel resources, and thermal efficiency of typical furnaces has achieved to 90%. With the improvement of the thermal efficiency, the amount of liquids or humidity in exhaust gas increase, and condensed water is released from the exhaust gas. Thus, the more condensed water formed is, the higher efficiency the furnace has. Also, the amount of the condensed water is dependent on the relative humidity of the air used in the reaction of combustion. Condensed water in the air exhausting device, particularly in the shell of the blower, is required to be output, not only because it would otherwise result in problems affecting the operating performance of the furnace, for example, condensed water accumulated in the shell of the blower would decrease the performance of the air, which in turn extinguish the burning furnace; but also because the condensed water is acid, which is a main factor that should be considered in selecting materials of furnace.
To output the accumulated condensed water, a typical method is that the scroll casing of a blower of a furnace is provide with a drainage outlet connected with a joint of a drainage pipe, however, condensed water can only be output when the blower is powered off. When the blower is energized, air flow produce a suction when passing the opening of the joint of the drainage pipe due to the Venturi effect, which prevents the condensed water from being output from the drainage pipe. Another typical method is that: drainage channels are designed on a joint between the wind pipe and the exhaust pipe. However, the joint has complicated structure, high production cost, inconvenient installation, and the drainage effect is not so good.
In view of the above-described problems, it is one objective of the invention to provide a water drainage system for a blower which has a simple structure, low production cost, and convenient installation, and can output condensed waters effectively and fast.
To achieve the above objective, in accordance with one embodiment of the invention, there is provided a water drainage system for a blower comprising a shell body and a shell cover. The shell body is fitted with the shell cover to form a cavity in which a wind wheel is arranged, a side wall of the shell body is protruded to form a wind pipe which is connected to the cavity, and the wind pipe is provided with a water outlet.
In a class of this embodiment, the water outlet is disposed on an opposite side of the shell cover.
In a class of this embodiment, an inner wall of the wind pipe is concave to form a water channel, which is connected to the water outlet.
In a class of this embodiment, a joint is disposed on an end of the wind pipe, the joint comprises a left sleeve, a right sleeve, and a stop ring in the middle; an inner diameter of the stop ring is less than that of the left sleeve and the right sleeve, thus a left step and a right step are formed; the wind pipe is inserted into the left sleeve, and the end of the wind pipe is limited by the left step; an inner wall of the stop ring is provided with a guiding gutter, the inner wall of the wind pipe and the inner wall of the stop ring are at a same level, and the guiding gutter is connected to the water channel.
In a class of this embodiment, a plurality of guiding gutters are arranged along an axial direction of the inner wall of the stop rings, and each guiding gutter is at a certain interval with one another in the axial direction.
In a class of this embodiment, one end of an exhaust pipe is inserted into the right sleeve, and an end surface of the exhaust pipe is limited by the right step; and an inner wall of the exhaust pipe is at the same level as the inner wall of the stop ring.
Advantages of the invention are summarized below:
1) the invention employs a structure of a wind pipe protruded from the shell body and a water outlet disposed on the wind pipe, which has a simple structure, and reasonable arrangement;
2) the inner wall of the wind pipe is concave to form a water channel which connected to the water outlet, to effectively and fast output the condensed water; and
3) a joint is employed to encase the end of the wind pipe, the joint comprises a left sleeve, a right sleeve, and a stop ring in the middle, the inner wall of the stop ring is relatively convex from inner walls of the left sleeve and the right sleeve, thus a left step and a right step are formed, the wind pipe is inserted into the left sleeve and limited by the left step, guiding gutters are arranged along the inner wall of the stop ring, an inner wall of an exhaust pipe and the inner wall of the stop ring are at the same level, the joint has a simple structure, easy installation, and low production cost; furthermore, water channel is connected with the guiding gutters, which can fast and effectively output the condensed water.
The invention is described hereinbelow with reference to accompanying drawings, in which:
Detailed description of the invention will be given below in conjunction with accompanying drawings.
As shown in
Working principle of the water drainage system of the invention: gas output from a furnace carries liquids or vapors which turn into condensed water, the condensed water runs through the guiding gutters 533 arranged on the inner wall of the stop ring 53, and through the water channel 42 formed by the concave inner wall of the wind pipe 4, and is finally output from the water outlet 41 of the wind pipe 4. The water drainage system has a simple structure, low production cost, convenient installation, and good effect of drainage.
While particular embodiments of the invention have been shown and described, it will be obvious to those skilled in the art that changes and modifications may be made without departing from the invention in its broader aspects, and therefore, the aim in the appended claims is to cover all such changes and modifications as fall within the true spirit and scope of the invention.
