Claims
- 1. In a process wherein a finely divided pigment is added to a substrate material to be colored in an amount sufficient to obtain a predetermined coloration of said material, the improvement comprising employing a dyestuff of the formula: ##STR13## wherein X.sub.1 denotes amino, cyanamino, acetylamino, guanidino, ureido or hydroxyl;
- Y.sub.1 and Z.sub.1 denote hydroxyl or amino, with the proviso that at most 2 of the 3 radicals X.sub.1, Y.sub.1 and Z.sub.1 denote hydroxyl;
- R.sub.1 represents hydrogen, nitro, chlorine, bromine, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy, nitrile, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkylsulphonyl, trifluoromethyl, phenylsulphonyl, benzylsulphonyl, phenoxy, carbo-C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy, carbophenoxy, carbonamido, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkylcarbonylamino, benzoylamino, sulphonamido, or carbonamido or sulfonamide monosubstituted or disubstituted by C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, phenyl, or benzyl; and
- R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 represent hydrogen; chlorine C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, carbo-C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy, carbonamido; carbonamido monosubstituted or disubstituted by C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, phenyl, or benzyl, or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy.
- 2. The process of claim 1 wherein a synthetic, semi-synthetic or natural macromolecular substance is bulk dyed with said dyestuff, said synthetic, semi-synthetic or natural molecular substance being polyvinyl chloride, polystyrene, polyamide or polyethylene.
- 3. A process of claim 1 wherein a natural, regenerated or artificial fiber is spin dyed and said natural, regenerated or artificial fiber is cellulose, polyester, polycarbonate, polyacrylonitrile, or polyamide.
- 4. A process according to claim 1 wherein said dyestuff is added to a lacquer.
- 5. A process according to claim 1 wherein said dyestuff is added to a printing ink composition, distemper, or paint.
- 6. A process according to claim 1 wherein said dyestuff is applied to a synthetic, semi-synthetic or natural macromolecular substance.
- 7. A process according to claim 1 wherein said dyestuff is applied by a spin dyeing process to a natural, regenerated or artificial fiber.
- 8. A process according to claim 1 wherein said dyestuff is applied to a textile or paper.
- 9. A printing ink composition comprising a printing ink vehicle and a dyestuff of the formula of claim 1.
- 10. A lacquer composition comprising a film-forming base, a solvent, and a dyestuff of the formula of claim 1.
- 11. A nitrocellulose lacquer composition comprising a cellulose nitrate, a solvent, and a dyestuff of the formula of claim 1.
- 12. A synthetic macromolecular composition comprising polyvinyl chloride and a dyestuff of the formula of claim 1.
- 13. In a process wherein an aqueous pigment dispersion is added to a substrate material in an amount sufficient to obtain a predetermined coloration of said material, the improvement comprising forming a stable, aqueous dispersion of a dyestuff of the formula ##STR14## wherein X.sub.1 denotes amino, cyanamino, acetylamino, guanidino, ureido or hydroxyl;
- Y.sub.1 and Z.sub.1 denote hydroxyl or amino, with the proviso that at most 2 of the 3 radicals X.sub.1, Y.sub.1 and Z.sub.1 denote hydroxyl;
- R.sub.1 represents hydrogen, nitro, chlorine, bromine, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy, nitrile, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkylsulphonyl, trifluoromethyl, phenylsulphonyl, benzylsulphonyl, phenoxy, carbo-C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy, carbophenoxy, carbonamido, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkylcarbonylamino, benzoylamino, sulphonamido, or carbonamido or sulfonamide monosubstituted or disubstituted by C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, phenyl, or benzyl; and
- R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 represent hydrogen; chlorine C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, carbo-C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy, carbonamido; carbonamido monosubstituted or disubstituted by C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, phenyl, or benzyl, or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy;
- by grinding or kneading said dyestuff in the presence of a non-ionic, anionic or cationic surface active agent, and adding said dispersion to said substrate material.
- 14. A process according to claim 13 wherein said dyestuff is applied during the printing of a textile.
- 15. A process according to claim 13 wherein said dyestuff is applied during spin dyeing of viscose.
- 16. A process according to claim 13 wherein said aqueous dispersion is applied to a paint vehicle.
- 17. A process according to claim 13 wherein said dyestuff is applied to a paper.
- 18. A process according to claim 1 wherein X.sub.1 is cyanamino, acetylamino, guanidino or ureido.
