Abstract
The present invention provides a waterproof bib for an infant dining table, which is made of a waterproof cloth and is used by being placed under an infant's chin to prevent saliva or food, dribbled by an infant, from spilling down and staining the infant, the waterproof bib comprising: a chin rest part which is placed under a chin to cover the front side of an infant and has a fastening string connected thereto; and a table cover part which is connected to a lower portion of the chin rest part and covers an upper surface of an infant dining table when worn by an infant seated at the infant dining table.
Description
TECHNICAL FIELD

The present invention relates to an infant dining bib, more particularly, a waterproof bib for an infant dining table which is made of a waterproof cloth and is used in such a manner that the bib is placed under the chin of an infant to bring the infant and the dining table together, so as to prevent saliva and/or food dribbled by the infant who eats while sitting at the dining table from spilling between the dining table and the infant and staining clothes of the infant.


BACKGROUND ART

Generally, a bib for a baby or infant is made of a cloth and placed in the front of the chest under the chin of an infant in order to prevent saliva, snot and/or food dribbled by the infant spilling and staining clothes or the body of the infant.



FIG. 1 shows a conventional bib. Referring to FIG. 1, the bib is used by attaching a fastening string 20 at the top end of a support part 10 and binding the same behind the back or neck of an infant or a child.


Further, another conventional art disclosed in Korean Registered Utility Model Publication No. 20-0192229 (Aug. 16, 2000) is an infant bib, comprising a neck band and a waist band, wherein: a receiving portion to carry spilled liquid is provided on a lower portion of a bib body made of a thin plastic sheet; a pair of left and right extending portions is formed to extend on an upper portion of the bib body and has an opening interposed therebetween to wear the bib around the neck of the infant; and a fastening means is provided at both ends of the extending portions, in order to wear the bib.


However, the bib of the aforementioned prior art does not allow free movement of the shoulders and arms when wearing the bib, has difficulty in keeping a dining table clean since the dining table is often stained and gets dirty due to food dribbled by the infant who eats while sitting at the dining table, which in turn is troublesome due to frequent cleaning, thereby entailing a problem of inconvenient storage and carrying.


DISCLOSURE
Technical Problem

The present invention has been proposed to overcome the aforementioned problems, and an object of the present invention is to provide a waterproof bib for an infant dining table (abbrev. to ‘table’), which is placed under the chin of an infant to bring the infant and the table together, in order to prevent saliva and/or food dribbled by the infant who eats while sitting at the table from spilling between the table and the infant and thus staining clothes of the infant, characterized in that: the bib is comfortable to use since the infant can freely move the shoulders and arms when wearing the bib; the bib has an additional function of a seat belt; a table cover is provided to prevent the food from staining the table to thus facilitate cleaning; the table cover part may be fastened to match a table size; and the bib may be folded down and accommodated in a pocket integrally provided therein, thereby being easily and conveniently stored and carried.


Technical Solution

In order to solve the above problems, the present invention provides a waterproof bib for an infant dining table made of a waterproof cloth material and used in such a manner that the bib is under the chin of an infant to prevent saliva and/or food dribbled by the infant from spilling and staining clothes of the infant and/or the table, which includes: a chin rest part placed under the chin of the infant to cover a front side of the infant and having a fastening string connected thereto; and a table cover part connected to a lower portion of the chin rest part in order to cover a top surface of a top plate in the table when the bib is worn by the infant seated at the table.


Further, the present invention provides a waterproof bib for an infant dining table made of a waterproof cloth and used in such a manner that the bib is placed under the chin of an infant to prevent saliva and/or food dribbled by the infant from spilling and staining clothes of the infant and/or the table, which includes: a chin rest part placed under the chin of the infant to cover a front side of the infant; a shoulder collar part that extends to both sides of an upper portion of the chin rest part to be placed on the shoulders and has a fastening string connected at a rear surface of the shoulder collar part; a pair of arm insertion parts connected to the shoulder collar part and formed to surround the arms wherein the arms are inserted therein and can be drawn out through withdrawal holes at ends of the arm insertion parts; and a table cover part connected to a lower portion of the chin rest part in order to cover a top surface of a top plate in the table when the bib is worn by the infant seated at the table.


Advantageous Effects

According to the present invention, the waterproof bib has a variety of advantages that: the bib is placed under the chin of an infant to bring the infant and an infant dining table together, so as to prevent saliva or food dribbled by the infant who eats while sitting at the table from spilling between the table and the infant and staining clothes of the infant; the bib is comfortable to use since the infant wearing the bib can freely move the shoulders and arms; the bib nay have an additional function of a seat belt; a table cover is provided to prevent the food from staining the table to thus facilitate cleaning; the table cover part may be fastened to match a table size; and the bib may be folded down and accommodated in a pocket integrally provided therein, thereby being simply and conveniently stored and carried.

BEST MODE

Hereinafter, with reference to the accompanying drawings, a concrete description to implement the waterproof bib for an infant dining table according to the present invention will be provided by way of the following embodiments.


The waterproof bib 1 for an infant dining table according to the present invention may be placed under the chin of an infant to bring the infant and an infant dining table (‘table’) together, so as to prevent saliva or food dribbled by the infant who eats while sitting at the table T from spilling between the table and the infant and further from staining clothes of the infant, wherein the infant dining table T may be a high-chair type table including a chair C, a top plate P and legs R as shown in FIG. 2a, or otherwise, a low-chair type table shown in FIG. 2b, wherein a baby or an infant may eat while being seated on the floor.


First, referring to FIGS. 3a to 3b, the waterproof bib 1 for an infant dining table (abbrev. to ‘waterproof bib’) according to a first embodiment of the present invention may be fabricated using a waterproof fabric or a waterproof cloth composed of a general fabric and a water-resistant coating applied thereto, thus not becoming dirty since foreign matter is little absorbed thereby, and being easily cleaned to facilitate cleaning. This bib includes a chin rest part 100 and a table cover part 400.


The chin rest part 100 is a portion placed under the chin to cover a front side of the upper body of an infant when wearing the bib, and may contact saliva and/or food dribbled by the infant.


In the upper center portion of the chin rest part 100, a neckline groove 110 cut to the lower side is formed to surround the neck of the infant while exposing the shoulders and arms. Further, a fastening string 130 is connected thereto. Accordingly, when an infant wears the bib, the bib may be suitably fastened to match a neck size of the infant. Further, the infant can freely move even while wearing the bib, whereby the bib is comfortable to use.


The table cover part 400 is approximately rectangular and integrally connected to the lower portion of the chin rest part 100. Referring to FIG. 3c, when an infant is seated in the chair C of the table T and wears the bib, the bib is spread out on the table T to cover a top surface of the top plate P, while the table cover part 400 is provided with an insert pocket 410 wherein a part of the top plate P is inserted into the insert pocket 410 to fix the table cover part 400. At this time, the insert pocket 410 is disposed at a rear surface of the table cover part 400 and is substantially made of a flexible and elastic material such as spandex, thereby conveniently fastening the table cover part 400 to match a table size.


Further, the table cover part 400 may be connected with first Velcro straps 440 provided at both sides of the table cover part, respectively. Further, a pair of second Velcro straps 450 is connected to a lower end of the table cover part. When the table cover part 400 is spread out on the table to cover the top surface of the top plate P, the first Velcro straps 400 and second Velcro straps 450 are crossed and removably attached together after surrounding a rear surface of the top plate P in the table T, thereby fixing the table cover part 400 to the top plate P. Therefore, the table cover part 400 may be conveniently fastened to match a table size.


Further, referring to FIG. 7c, the table cover part 400 is provided with a rubber band strap 460 having elastic properties between both sides of the rear surface, as well as a pair of cloth straps 470 at the lower end, wherein the cloth straps 470 are connected to the rubber band strap 460. In this regard, a loop 471 may be formed by rolling up the front end of each of the cloth bands 470 and sewing, and then, connected with the rubber band strap 460 by passing the same through the loop 471. More particularly, the table cover part 400 is spread out on the table to cover the top surface of the top plate, while the rubber band strap 460 and the cloth straps 470 surround the rear surface of the top plate P in the table T, thereby conveniently fastening the table cover part 400 to match the table size.


In this way, when an infant eats food while sitting at the table, the inventive bib may be placed under the chin of the infant to bring the infant and the table together, so as to prevent saliva or food dribbled by the infant from spilling between the table and the infant and staining clothes of the infant. Further, the infant can freely move the shoulders and arms when wearing the bib, whereby the bib is comfortable to use. In addition, the bib is provided with a table cover to prevent the food from staining the table, thereby facilitating cleaning.


Further, the table cover part 400 has fastening strings 420 connected at both sides thereof. When using the bib, the table cover part is spread out on the table and fixed thereto by tying the fastening stings 420 to the chair C of the table. Herein, the fastening strings 420 may also serve as a seat belt. Therefore, it is possible to prevent the infant from falling off the chair C and being injured.


In addition, FIGS. 4a and 4c show the waterproof bib 1 for an infant dining table according to a second embodiment of the present invention. According to the second embodiment of the present invention, the waterproof bib is made of a waterproof material and comprises a chin rest part 100 and a table cover part 400, which is substantially the same as the waterproof bib according to the first embodiment of the present invention in terms of materials and configuration, except that the table cover part 400 has a semicircular shape or is rounded at both lower corners thereof.


Referring to FIGS. 5a and 5b, the waterproof bib 1 for an infant dining table according to a third embodiment of the present invention is made of a waterproof material and comprises a chin rest part 100, a shoulder cellar part 200, arm insertion parts 300 and a table cover part 400.


The chin rest part 100 is a portion placed under the chin to cover a front side of the upper body of an infant when wearing the bib, and contacts saliva and/or food dribbled by the infant. Herein, the chin rest part 100 has a neckline groove 110 in the upper center portion, which is cut toward the lower side and formed to surround the neck of the infant. Further, both sides below the arm insertion parts 300 are curved to be concave inward to thus enable the infant to freely move.


The shoulder collar part 200 is formed to extend to both sides of an upper portion of the chin rest part 100 and drapes over the shoulders of the infant to surround the same, wherein a front portion 210 is integrally connected to the chin rest part 100 while a rear portion 220 is formed to be partially spaced apart from the chin rest part 100, and fastening strings 230 are provided at both sides of the rear portion 220 Therefore, the bib may be fastened to match a neck size and the infant can freely move the shoulders and arms even while wearing the bib, thereby enabling convenient use of the bib.


The arm insertion parts 300 are integrally connected to the shoulder collar part 200 and formed to surround the arms of the infant like as an infant shirt, wherein the arms are inserted inside and two hands may be drawn out through withdrawal holes 310, respectively, on both ends of the arm insertion parts, thereby facilitating free movement of the arms and convenient use of the bib.


The table cover part 400 is substantially rectangular and is integrally connected to a lower portion of the chin rest part 100. Referring to FIG. 5c, when an infant is seated in the chair C of the table T and wears the bib, the table cover part is spread out on the table T to cover the top plate P and is suitably fixed since the top plate P is partially inserted into an insert pocket 410 provided in the table cover part 400.


In this regard, referring to FIG. 7a, the insert pocket 410 formed at a rear surface of the table cover part 400 is made of a flexible and elastic material to thus facilitate fastening of the table cover part 400 to match a table size.


Further, referring to FIG. 7b, the table cover part 400 may include first Velcro straps 440 connected at both sides thereof, respectively, and a pair of second Velcro straps 450 connected to a lower end of the table cover part. Therefore, when the table cover part 400 is spread out on the table to cover a top surface of the top plate P, the first Velcro straps 400 an a second Velcro straps 450 may be crossed and removably attached together after surrounding a rear surface of the top plate P in the table T, thereby fixing the table cover part 400 on the top plate P. Therefore, the table cover part 400 may be conveniently fastened to match a table size.


Alternatively, the table cover part 400 may include a rubber band strap 460 having elasticity between both side of the rear surface and a pair of cloth straps 470 at the lower portion of the table cover part, wherein the cloth straps 370 are connected to the rubber band strap 460. Herein, rolling up a front end of each cloth band 470 and sewing the same may form a loop 471 and the rubber band strap 460 may pass through the loop 471, thus being connected. The table cover part 400 is spread out on the table to cover a top surface of the top plate P, and the rubber band strap 460 and the cloth straps 470 surround a rear surface of the top plate in the table T. Therefore, the table cover part 400 may be conveniently fastened to match a table size.


In this way, the bib may be placed under the chin of an infant to bring the infant and the table together, so as to prevent saliva or food dribbled by the infant who eats while sitting at the table from spilling onto the table and the infant and staining clothes of the infant. Further, when wearing the bib, the infant can freely move the shoulders and arms, thereby enabling convenient use of the bib. Still further, the bib is provided with a table cover to prevent food from staining the table, thereby facilitating cleaning.


Further, the table cover part 400 may include fastening strings 420 at both sides and, when the table cover part 400 is spread cut on the table, the fastening strings 420 may be tied to the chair C of the table and may have an additional function of a seat belt, thereby preventing the infant from falling off the chair C and being injured.


Further, FIGS. 6a to 6c illustrate a waterproof bib 1 for an infant dining table according to a fourth embodiment of the present invention. According to the fourth embodiment of the present, invention, the bib is made of a waterproof material and comprises a chin rest part 100, a shoulder collar part 200, arm insertion parts 300 and a table cover part 400, which is substantially the same as the waterproof bib according to the third embodiment of the present invention in terms of materials and configuration, except that the table cover part 400 has a semicircular shape or is rounded at both lower corners thereof.


Further, referring to FIG. 8, the table cover part 400 according to any of the first to fourth embodiments may be integrally connected to a storage part 500, wherein the storage part 500 is provided with a storage pocket 510 to stow items while using the waterproof bib 1 for an infant dining table and, upon completion of use, store the bib by folding down the same. Therefore, it is easy to carry and store the bib.


Further, according to the first to fourth embodiments of the present invention, the waterproof bib 1 for an infant dining table may further include a rim part 600 formed by sewing a gusset cloth along the edge of the bib 1.


Eventually, the waterproof bib 1 for an infant dining table according to the present invention may be placed under the chin of an infant to bring the infant and a table together, in order to prevent saliva and/or food dribbled by the infant who eats while sitting at the table from spilling between the table and the infant and thus staining clothes of the infant, characterized in that: the bib is comfortable to use since the infant can freely move the shoulders and arms when wearing the bib; the bib has an additional function of a seat belt; a table cover is provided to prevent the food from staining the table to thus facilitate cleaning; the table cover part is fastened to match a table size; and the bib may be folded down and accommodated in a pocket integrally provided therein, thereby being simply and conveniently stored and carried.


The above embodiments of the present invention have been given for illustrative purpose and the present invention is not particularly limited thereto. A variety of modifications and/or alterations including the same configuration and achieving the same functional effects as the technical concept described in the appended claims are also within the technical scope of the present invention.


INDUSTRIAL APPLICABILITY

The waterproof bib for an infant dining table according to the present invention may be used in such a manner that the bib is placed under the chin of an infant to bring the infant and a dining table together, in order to prevent saliva and/or food dribbled by the infant who eats while sitting at the dining table from spilling between the table and the infant and staining clothes of the infant, wherein a table cover is provided to prevent the food from staining the table thus facilitate cleaning, and the bib may be folded down and accommodated in a pocket integrally provided therein, thereby being easily carried and stored. Accordingly, the present invention has industrial applicability.

Claims
  • 1. A waterproof bib for an infant dining table made of a waterproof cloth material and used in such a manner that the bib is placed under the chin of an infant to prevent saliva and food dribbled by the infant from spilling and staining clothes of the infant and the table, comprising: a chin rest part placed under the chin of the infant to cover a front side of the infant and having a fastening string connected thereto; anda table cover part connected to a lower portion of the chin rest part in order to cover a top surface of a top plate in the table when the bib is worn by the infant seated at the table.
  • 2. A waterproof bib for an infant dining table made of a waterproof cloth material and used in such a manner that the bib is placed under the chin of an infant to prevent saliva or food dribbled by the infant from spilling and staining clothes of the infant or the table, comprising: a chin rest part placed under the chin of the infant to cover a front side of the infant;a shoulder collar part that extends to opposite sides of the upper portion of the chin rest part to be placed on the shoulders and has a fastening string connected at a rear surface of the shoulder collar part;a pair of arm insertion pans connected to the shoulder collar part and formed to surround the arms wherein the arms are inserted therein and can be drawn out through withdrawal holes at ends of the arm insertion parts; anda table cover part connected to a lower portion of the chin rest part in order to cover a top surface of a top plate in the table when the bib is worn by the infant seated at the table.
  • 3. The waterproof bib according to claim 1, further comprising a storage part connected to the table cover part and provided with a storage pocket, wherein the bib is folded down and accommodated in the storage pocket of the storage part.
  • 4. The waterproof bib according to claim 1, wherein the chin rest part has a neckline groove in the upper center portion thereof, which is cut toward the lower side.
  • 5. The waterproof bib according to claim 1, wherein the table cover part has an insert pocket at a rear surface thereof, and the top plate of the infant dining table may be partially inserted into the insert pocket.
  • 6. The waterproof bib according to claim 5, wherein the insert pocket is made of a flexible and elastic material.
  • 7. The waterproof bib according to claim 1, wherein the table cover pan has fastening strings connected at opposite sides thereof and functions as a seat bell by lying the fastening strings to a chair of the infant dining table.
  • 8. The waterproof bib according to claim 1, wherein the table cover part has first Velcro straps provided at opposite sides and a pair of second Velcro straps provided at a lower end of the table cover part, and the first Velcro straps and the second Velcro straps are crossed and removably attached together after surrounding a rear surface of the top plate in the table.
  • 9. The waterproof bib according to claim 1, wherein the table cover part has a rubber band strap formed between opposite sides of the rear surface and a pair of cloth straps formed at a lower portion of the table cover part, and the cloth straps are connected to the rubber band strap to surround a rear surface of the top plate in the table.
  • 10. The waterproof bib according to claim 2, further comprising a storage part connected to the table cover part and provided with a storage pocket, wherein the bib is folded down and accommodated in the storage pocket of the storage part.
  • 11. The waterproof bib according to claim 2, wherein the chin rest part has a neckline groove in the upper center portion thereof, which is cut toward the lower side.
  • 12. The waterproof bib according to claim 2, wherein the table cover part has an insert pocket at a rear surface thereof, and the top plate of the infant dining table may be partially inserted into the insert pocket.
  • 13. The waterproof bib according to claim 12, wherein the insert pocket is made of a flexible and elastic material.
  • 14. The waterproof bib according to claim 2, wherein the table cover part has fastening strings connected at opposite sides thereof and functions as a seat belt by lying the fastening strings to a chair of the infant dining table.
  • 15. The waterproof bib according to claim 2, wherein the table cover part has first Velcro straps provided at opposite sides and a pair of second Velcro straps provided at a lower end of the table cover part, and the first Velcro straps and the second Velcro straps are crossed and removably attached together after surrounding a rear surface of the top plate in the table.
  • 16. The waterproof bib according to claim 2, wherein the table cover part has a rubber band strap formed between opposite sides of the rear surface and a pair of cloth straps formed at a lower portion of the table cover part, and the cloth straps are connected to the rubber band strap to surround a rear surface of the top plate in the table.
