1. Field of the Invention
The present invention relates to a water receptacle, and more particularly to a water receptacle for receiving or carrying much water and thus for supplying much water to users, such as riders of bicycles, motorcycles, etc.
2. Description of the Prior Art
Typical water receptacles for bicycle riders comprise a bottle-shaped receptacle body for detachably attaching to frames of bicycles, and for carrying and thus for supplying water to the bicycle riders.
For example, U.S. Pat. No. 5,170,981 to Lin discloses one of the typical water receptacles for detachably attaching to the frames of the conventional bicycles with bottle holders, and thus for carrying and for supplying water to the bicycle riders. However, the bottle-shaped receptacle body of the typical water receptacles may only carry less water, such that less water may be supplied to the bicycle riders.
In addition, when required to drink water, the bicycle riders have to bow their bodies, in order to disengage the typical water receptacles from the bottle holders and the frames of the bicycles, and then have to bow their bodies again, to engage the typical water receptacles into the bottle holders and the frames of the bicycles after drinking. It is thus inconvenient for the bicycle riders to drink water with such typical water receptacles.
U.S. Pat. No. 5,240,156 to Sicotte et al. discloses a typical modular component system for detachably attaching water receptacles to waste portions of users with a supporting member, such as a belt or vest. However, the bottle-shaped receptacle body of the typical water receptacles may also carry less water, such that less water may be supplied to the users or the bicycle riders. In addition, similarly, it is also inconvenient for the bicycle riders or the users to disengage the typical water receptacles from the supporting member, and then to engage the typical water receptacles into the supporting member again after drinking, and it is thus inconvenient for the bicycle riders or the users to drink water with such typical water receptacles.
The present invention has arisen to mitigate and/or obviate the afore-described disadvantages of the conventional water receptacles.
The primary objective of the present invention is to provide a water receptacle for receiving or carrying much water and thus for supplying much water to users, such as riders of bicycles, motorcycles, etc.
The other objective of the present invention is to provide a water receptacle for being easily carried by the bicycle riders or the users, and for allowing the bicycle riders or the users to easily drink the water.
The further objective of the present invention is to provide a water receptacle having an upper mouth device and a lower coupler detachable from the receptacle body, for allowing the receptacle body to be easily cleaned by the users.
In accordance with one aspect of the invention, there is provided a water receptacle comprising a receptacle body including a hollow chamber formed therein and defined between front and rear walls, for receiving water therein, the receptacle body including a spatial configuration having the front and the rear walls separated from each other, to prevent the front and the rear walls from being collapsed and from being snugly engaged with each other, the receptacle body including an upper port and a lower opening provided therein, and arranged to allow water to flow downwardly to the lower opening of the receptacle body, an upper mouth device detachably attached to the upper port of the receptacle body, to openably block the upper port of the receptacle body, a coupler attached to the lower opening of the receptacle body, and a hose coupled to the coupler and having a mouth piece attached thereto, for allowing users to easily or readily drink the water flowing downwardly and outwardly through the lower opening of the receptacle body.
The receptacle body includes a middle opening formed therein and defined by an inner peripheral wall, the middle opening and the inner peripheral wall of the receptacle body separate the front and the rear walls of the receptacle body away from each other, and to prevent the front and the rear walls from being collapsed and from being snugly engaged with each other.
The receptacle body includes a peripheral flange extended radially and inwardly into the upper port thereof, the upper mouth device includes a cylindrical member having a peripheral protrusion extended outwardly therefrom and engageable into the upper port of the receptacle body and engaged with the peripheral flange of the upper port of the receptacle body, to anchor the cylindrical member to the upper port of the receptacle body, and to prevent the cylindrical member of the upper mouth device from being disengaged from the lower opening of the receptacle body.
The cylindrical member includes an outer thread provided in a middle portion thereof and extended out of the receptacle body, and a lock ferrule threaded to the outer thread of the cylindrical member, and engageable with the upper port of the receptacle body, to lock the cylindrical member to the upper port of the receptacle body. The lock ferrule includes an inner peripheral shoulder provided therein, to engage with the upper port of the receptacle body, and to solidly anchor the cylindrical member to the upper port of the receptacle body.
The receptacle body includes a peripheral rib extended radially and inwardly into the lower opening thereof, and the coupler includes a peripheral bulge extended radially and outwardly therefrom, and engageable into the lower opening of the receptacle body, and engaged with the peripheral rib of the receptacle body, to anchor the coupler to the receptacle body, and to prevent the coupler from being disengaged from the lower opening of the receptacle body.
The coupler includes an outer thread provided in a middle portion thereof and extended out of the receptacle body, and a lock ferrule threaded to the outer thread of the coupler, and engaged with the receptacle body, to lock the coupler to the receptacle body. The lock ferrule includes an inner peripheral shoulder provided therein, to engage with the receptacle body, and to lock the coupler to the receptacle body.
The hose includes a control valve attached thereto, to control water to flow out through the mouth piece. The receptacle body includes at least one inclined portion formed in bottom thereof, and arranged to have the lower opening formed in bottommost portion thereof, to allow the water to flow downwardly to the lower opening of the receptacle body.

It is preferable that the receptacle body 11 is made or formed into a spatial structure or configuration having the hollow chamber 14 formed therein and having the front and the rear walls 15 spaced or separated from each other, to prevent the front and the rear walls 15 of receptacle body 11 from being completely collapsed or from being snugly engaged with each other, and thus for allowing the water to suitably flow downwardly to lower portion of the receptacle body 11.
The middle opening 12 and/or the inner peripheral wall 13 may further be used to suitably separate the front and the rear walls 15 of the receptacle body 11 away from each other, and to further prevent the front and the rear walls 15 of receptacle body 11 from being collapsed or from being snugly engaged with each other, and thus for allowing the water to further suitably flow downwardly to the lower portion of the receptacle body 11.

The cylindrical member 31 further includes an outer thread 33 formed or provided in a middle portion thereof and extended out of the receptacle body 11, and further includes another outer thread 34 formed or provided in the upper or outer portion thereof. A lock ferrule 35 is threaded to the middle and outer thread 33 of the cylindrical member 31, and engageable with the upper port 16 of the receptacle body 11, to solidly lock the cylindrical member 31 of the upper mouth device 30 to the upper port 16 of the receptacle body 11.
It is preferable that the lock ferrule 35 includes an inner peripheral shoulder 36 formed or provided therein, for engaging with the upper port 16 of the receptacle body 11, and thus for allowing the cylindrical member 31 of the upper mouth device 30 to be further solidly locked to the upper port 16 of the receptacle body 11. A cover 37 is threaded to the upper and outer thread 34 of the cylindrical member 31, for openably enclosing a bore 38 of the cylindrical member 31 and thus for enclosing the upper port 16 of the receptacle body 11.
A coupler 40 is provided for attaching to the lower opening 18 of the receptacle body 11, and includes a peripheral bulge 41 extended radially and outwardly from upper portion thereof, and engageable into the lower opening 18 of the receptacle body 11, and engaged with the peripheral rib 19 of the lower opening 18 of the receptacle body 11, to anchor the coupler 40 to the lower opening 18 of the receptacle body 11.
The coupler 40 further includes an outer thread 42 formed or provided in a middle portion thereof and extended out of the receptacle body 11, and a number of teeth 43, such as ratchet teeth 43 formed or provided in the lower or outer portion thereof. A lock ferrule 44 is threaded to the middle and outer thread 42 of the coupler 40, and engageable with the receptacle body 11, to solidly lock the coupler 40 to the lower opening 18 of the receptacle body 11.
It is preferable that the lock ferrule 44 includes an inner peripheral shoulder 49 formed or provided therein, for engaging with the receptacle body 11, and thus for allowing the coupler 40 to be solidly locked to the receptacle body 11. The teeth 43 of the coupler 40 may be coupled to a hose 45, and a control valve 46 and a mouth piece 47 may be attached to a free end or an outer end of the hose 45, for allowing the users to easily drink the water flowing downwardly and outwardly through the lower opening 18 of the receptacle body 11 with the mouth piece 47. The control valve 46 may be used to control the water to flow out through the mouth piece 47.

The formation or the provision of the middle opening 12 and/or the inner peripheral wall 13 in the receptacle body 11 may suitably separate the front and the rear walls 15 of the receptacle body 11 away from each other, and may prevent the front and the rear walls 15 of receptacle body 11 from being collapsed or from being snugly engaged with each other, and thus for allowing the water to suitably flow downwardly and outwardly through the lower opening 18 of the receptacle body 11.
The upper mouth device 30 may be detachably disengaged from the upper port 16 of the receptacle body 11, and the coupler 40 may also be detachably disengaged from the lower opening 18 of the receptacle body 11, for allowing the water to completely flow out of the hollow chamber 14 of the receptacle body 11, and thus for allowing the receptacle body 11 to be easily disassembled and cleaned by the users.
The water receptacle 10 in accordance with the present invention may be readily disposed into clothes of the users, such as the bicycle riders, the motorcycle riders, or the other users, or may be attached to the bicycles or other vehicles, or may be attached to the users with knapsacks, backpacks, or the like, and the users may easily drink the water from the receptacle body 11 via the mouth piece 47.
Accordingly, the water receptacle in accordance with the present invention may be provided for receiving or carrying much water and thus for supplying much water to bicycle riders or the users, and for being easily carried by the bicycle riders or the users, and for allowing the bicycle riders or the users to easily drink the water.
Although this invention has been described with a certain degree of particularity, it is to be understood that the present disclosure has been made by way of example only and that numerous changes in the detailed construction and the combination and arrangement of parts may be resorted to without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as hereinafter claimed.
