WATERPROOF PRESTRESSING STRUCTURE OF WATER BOTTLES OR CUPS

Abstract
A waterproof prestressing structure of water bottles or cups, which mainly has a first main body and a second main body, and one surface of an elastic body is integrally provided on the first main body. When the first main body and the second main body are screwed to connect with each other, since the one surface of the elastic body is fixed on the first main body, the one surface of the elastic body connected to the first main body does not deform, and only another surface that contacts the second main body deforms, so that the elastic body does not excessively deform in a tight state, thereby reducing twist or damage of the elastic body caused by screwing. The elastic body is integrally provided on the first main body, so that there is no gap between the elastic body and the first main body.
Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Field of Invention

The present invention relates to the technical field of water bottles or cups, and more particularly to a waterproof prestressing structure of water bottles or cups.

Related Art

Please refer to FIG. 1. The general structure of a water bottle or a cup mainly has a cup 11 and a lid 12. When the lid 12 is closed on the cup 11, a gap is formed between the lid 12 and the cup 11 made of relatively hard materials. Since the cup 11 is mainly filled with liquid, in order to prevent the liquid from leaking after the lid 12 is closed with the cup 11, conventionally, a rubber ring 13 is provided between the lid 12 and the cup 11.

The cup 11 mainly has a first screw thread surface 111 facing the lid 12, the lid 12 has a second screw thread surface 121 facing the cup 11, and the rubber ring 13 is mounted between the first screw thread surface 111 and the second screw thread surface 121. After the lid 12 is closed with the cup 11, since a material of the rubber ring 13 is flexible, flexibility of the rubber ring 13 makes the rubber ring 13 to be tightly attached to the first screw thread surface 111 and the second screw thread surface 121, thereby sealing the cup 11 and the lid 12, so as to achieve the effect of preventing liquid from leaking.

Please refer to FIGS. 2 and 3. During screwing process of the lid 12 and the cup 11, the rubber ring 13 is not only subjected to vertical pressure from the cup 11 and the lid 12; because the rubber ring 13 abuts on the first screw thread surface 111 and the second screw thread surface 121 respectively, when the cup 11 and the lid 12 are screwed and rotated relative to each other in opposite directions, the rubber ring 13 is also subjected to torsion generated when the cup 11 and the lid 12 are screwed to combine with each other, which causes the rubber ring 13 to show a severely deformed state after the cup 11 and the lid 12 are completely screwed together.

Even if the rubber ring 13 is used normally, the material of the rubber ring 13 is still seriously twisted, resulting in defect of damage of the rubber ring 13. In view of this, it is indeed necessary to solve the problem that the rubber ring 13 is severely distorted caused by subjecting to forces from different directions.

Furthermore, there is a gap between the rubber ring 13 and the lid 12, so the liquid easily permeates between the rubber ring 13 and the lid 12 during use. After a long period of use, limescale, sugar, grease and lipid remained from liquid accumulate between the rubber ring 13 and the lid 12, which not only causing the problem of bacterial growth, but also making it easier to produce bad smell between the rubber ring 13 and the lid 12.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The foregoing and other technical contents, features and effects of the present invention to achieve the above object will be clearly presented in the following detailed description of the preferred embodiments with reference to the drawings.

Please refer to FIG. 4 to FIG. 7, the present invention is a waterproof prestressing structure of water bottles or cups including:

a first main body 20 having a first connecting portion 21 and a first connecting surface 22;

a second main body 30 having a second connecting portion 31 and a second connecting surface 32, the second connecting portion 31 is connected to the first connecting portion 21; and

an elastic body 40 having a first surface 41 and a second surface 42, the first surface 41 is integrally disposed on the first connecting surface 22, when the first connecting portion 21 is connected to the second connecting portion 31, the second surface 42 is tightly pressed and abutted against the second connecting surface 32.

In a first embodiment, the first main body 20 is a cup lid, the first main body 20 has an open accommodating space 23, and the first connecting portion 21 is an internal screw thread disposed in the accommodating space 23.

The second main body 30 includes a cup member 33 and a throat member 34. The cup member 33 has an inner wall surface 331 facing an internal cup space, the inner wall surface 331 is concavely provided with a ring groove 332. The throat member 34 is mounted on a cup rim of the cup member 33, the throat member 34 has a ring rib 341 convexly provided facing the inner wall surface 331, and the ring rib 341 is concavo-convexly combined with the ring groove 332, so that the throat member 34 and the cup member 33 are fixedly combined with each other. The second connecting portion 31 is provided on the throat member 34, the second connecting portion 31 is an external screw thread, the second connecting surface 32 is located on the cup member 33, and the first connecting surface 22 surrounds the cup rim of the cup member 33.

The elastic body 40 is fixed on the first main body 20 by heterogeneous integral molding, heterojunction molding, or hot mold opening molding. For the heterogeneous integral molding, a mold is provided, the formed first main body 20 is placed in the mold, and then a forming material of the elastic body 40 is poured into the same mold. The forming material of the elastic body 40 is a thermosetting material. After the materials of the elastic body 40 and the first main body 20 are poured into the mold and heated, the elastic body 40 and the first main body 20 are fixed and heterogeneously integrally molded.

For the heterojunction molding, the elastic body 40 and the first main body 20 are formed separately. The elastic body 40 and the first main body 20 are made of thermoplastic materials, the molded elastic body 40 or the molded first main body 20 is heated, and because the molded elastic body 40 and the first main body 20 are made of thermoplastic materials, the elastic body 40 and the first main body 20 can be joined with each other after heating. After cooling, the two heterogeneous materials are fixed and heterogeneously molded by junction.

For the hot mold opening molding, a mold is provided, and the formed first main body 20 is placed in the mold. In an example of hot mold opening molding, the first main body 20 is made of a thermoplastic material, and then a forming material of the elastic body 40 is poured into the same mold. The forming material of the elastic body 40 is a thermosetting material. After the mold is heated, a portion of the elastic body 40 attached to the first main body 20 is gradually fixed. At the same time, the first main body 20 is heated to melt gradually and is then fixed with the elastic body 40, so that the elastic body 40 and the first main body 20 are molded integrally.

The elastic body 40 and the first main body 20 are closely integrated into one body. The first surface 41 of the elastic body 40 is integrally provided on the first connecting surface 22. When the first main body 20 covers the second main body 30, by screwing to combine the second connecting portion 31 with the first connecting portion 21, the second surface 42 of the elastic body 40 abuts against the second connecting surface 32. Please refer to FIG. 8, when screwing to reach a tightened state, since the first surface 41 of the elastic body 40 is fixedly combined to the first connecting surface 22, only the second surface 42 of the elastic body 40 deforms during tightening.

Preferably, the elastic body 40 is made of an elastic material, such as silicone rubber.

Preferably, in the first embodiment, the elastic body 40 is not limited to only capable of integrally disposing on the first connecting surface 22 with the first surface 41, the second surface 42 of the elastic body 40 can also be integrally disposed on the second connecting surface 32. When the first main body 20 and the second main body 30 are closed with each other, the first surface 41 abuts against the first connecting surface 22 and deforms.

Please refer to FIG. 10 to FIG. 12. In a second embodiment, the first main body 20 is a cup lid, and the first main body 20 has a head portion 24 and a screw portion 25 connected to each other. A diameter of the head portion 24 is greater than that of the screw portion 25, the first connecting surface 22 is located between the head portion 24 and the screw portion 25. When the first main body 20 covers the second main body 30, the first connecting surface 22 faces the second connecting surface 32, and the elastic body 40 is disposed on the first connecting surface 22.

The first connecting portion 21 is provided on the screw portion 25, in the second embodiment, the first connecting portion 21 is an external screw thread, and the second connecting portion 31 of the second main body 30 is an internal screw thread. By screwing the first connecting portion 21 with the second connecting portion 31, the second surface 42 of the elastic body 40 is attached on the second connecting surface 32. Please refer to FIG. 12, after the first main body 20 and the second main body 30 are tightly screwed to combine with each other, the first surface 41 of the elastic body 40 that is fixed on the first connecting surface 22 does not deform, only the second surface 42 deforms.

Preferably, in the second embodiment, the elastic body 40 is not limited to only capable of integrally disposing on the first connecting surface 22 with the first surface 41, the second surface 42 of the elastic body 40 can also be integrally disposed on the second connecting surface 32. When the first main body 20 and the second main body 30 are closed with each other, the first surface 41 abuts against the first connecting surface 22 and deforms.

Please refer to FIG. 13. In a last embodiment, the first connecting surface 22 is inclined to increase an area of the first connecting surface 22, and the elastic body 40 is integrally provided on the first connecting surface 22. Since the elastic body 40 completely covers the first connecting surface 22, compared with the second embodiment, an area of the elastic body 40 in contact with the first connecting surface 22 is larger in the last embodiment, so that the elastic body 40 is less easily to fall off from the first connecting surface 22.

More preferably, the second main body 30 has a convex portion 35 protruding toward the elastic body 40. The convex portion 35 abuts against the elastic body 40 and the second connecting surface 32, when the first main body 20 is screwed to combine with the second main body 30, the convex portion 35 is capable of tightly abutting against the elastic body 40, so that when the elastic body 40 is screwed to combine with the first main body 20 and the second main body 30, the elastic body 40 can not only tightly abut the second connecting surface 32, but also tightly attach to the convex portion 35, thereby further enhancing a degree of tightness between the first main body 20 and the second main body 30.

The above is the structural configuration and connection relationship of the present invention in the first embodiment and the second embodiment. The way of usage of the present invention is as follows:

For the first embodiment, please refer to FIG. 7 to FIG. 9B, and for the second embodiment, please refer to FIG. 11 to FIG. 12. When a user covers the first main body 20 on the second main body 30, two states are presented successively, namely a closed state Q1 and a tight state Q2.

In the closed state Q1, the user first screws the first main body 20 to combine with the second main body 30 to attach the second surface 42 of the elastic body 40 to the second connecting surface 32, as shown in the state of FIG. 7 and FIG. 9A.

When the user further tightens the first main body 20 by screwing, the first connecting surface 22 is closer to the second connecting surface 32, so that it is in the tight state Q2. When in the tight state Q2, since the elastic body 40 is made of a flexible material, the second surface 42 of the elastic body 40 is deformed by pressing and turning force of the second connecting surface 32, and then the elastic body 40 is tightly attached to the second connecting surface 32 according to a shape of the second connecting surface 32 so as to achieve the effect of preventing water leakage. In particular, because the first surface 41 of the elastic body 40 is fixed on the first connecting surface 22, the first surface 41 of the elastic body 40 will not be deformed by the first main body 20 and the second main body 30 being screwed to combined with each other to present the state shown in FIGS. 8 and 9B. Since only the second surface 42 of the elastic body 40 deforms in the tight state Q2, and the elastic body 40 does not excessively deforms in the tight state Q2, thereby reducing twist or damage of the elastic body 40 due to screwing.

More preferably, since the elastic body 40 is fixed on the first main body 20 by heterogeneous integral molding, heterojunction molding, or hot mold opening molding, a gap does not form between the elastic body 40 and the first main body 20, and therefore liquid does not permeate between the elastic body 40 and the first main body 20 during use, which not only effectively prevents bacteria and dirt from accumulating, but also does not produce bad smell even after long period of use.
