Claims
- 1. A waterproof lens-fitted photo film unit comprising a non-flash type film unit body that does not have a flash device mounted therein, and a waterproof case that is at least partly transparent and contains said film unit body in a watertight fashion such that said film unit body may be operated from outside said waterproof case, wherein said film unit body comprises a body base portion containing a photo filmstrip and having a taking lens and photographic mechanisms mounted therein, and front and rear covers covering said body base portion from front and rear sides thereof, said waterproof lens-fitted photo film unit is characterized in that:said body base portion and said front cover are designed for a flash-type film unit body that is to have a flash device mounted therein, and said front cover is formed with a flash opening for exposing a light projecting portion of said flash device; and that a shielding device for shielding sight of said flash opening from outside said waterproof case is provided.
- 2. A waterproof lens-fitted photo film unit as claimed in claim 1, wherein said front cover is further provided with an actuation member for charging said flash device, and said shielding device also shields sight of said actuation member from outside said waterproof case.
- 3. A waterproof lens-fitted photo film unit as claimed in claim 1, wherein said shielding device is an opaque portion of said waterproof case.
- 4. A waterproof lens-fitted photo film unit as claimed in claim 1, wherein said shielding device is a cover made of an opaque or semi-transparent elastomer that is put on a transparent case member that is a component of said waterproof case.
- 5. A waterproof lens-fitted photo film unit as claimed in claim 1, wherein said shielding device is an opaque adhesive sheet that is affixed on said waterproof case or said film unit body.
- 6. A waterproof lens-fitted photo film unit as claimed in claim 1, wherein said shielding device is a sponge chip that covers front of said flash opening.
- 7. A waterproof lens-fitted photo film unit as claimed in claim 1, wherein said shielding device is a casket or a sheet that covers at least front of said flash opening.
- 8. An assembling method of a waterproof lens-fitted photo film unit comprising a non-flash type film unit body that does not have a flash device mounted therein, and a waterproof case that is at least partly transparent and contains said film unit body in a watertight fashion such that said film unit body may be operated from outside said waterproof case, said assembling method comprising the steps of:mounting a taking lens and photographic mechanisms to a body base portion that is provided with a mounting portion for a flash device, but not mounting said flash device; loading a photo filmstrip in said body base portion; covering front of said body base portion with a front cover that has a flash opening for exposing a light projecting portion of said flash device; and providing a shielding device for shielding sight of said flash opening from outside said waterproof case.
- 9. An assembling method according to claim 8, wherein respective parts of said non-flash type film unit body are equal in shape and size to corresponding parts of the flash-type film unit body, and are commonly used for assembling both types of film unit bodies.
