As best illustrated in
A handle 28 is coupled to a top 16 proximate to the first end 18 of the purse 12. The handle 28 comprises a plate 30 and a slot 32. The plate 30 is coupled to the first section 22 of the top 16. The slot 32 is positioned in the plate 30 so that the slot 32 is substantially parallel to the first section 22 of the top 16. The plate 30 is tapered so that an outer edge 34 of the plate 30 is substantially parallel to the first section 22 of the top 16. Opposing endpoints 36 of the outer edge 34 are arcuate.
A weight 38 is coupled to the purse 12 and positioned in the interior space 14. The weight 38 is positioned proximate to the second end 20 of the purse 12. The handle 28 is configured to be grasped in a hand of a user, positioning the user to swing the purse 12 to strike an assailant.
The handbag 10 provides a means for a person to defend his or her self, as may be required in certain situations. The handbag 10 may be utilized as an everyday accessory by men or women. Additionally, the handbag 10 is useful to business owners when transferring cash for deposit into a bank.

The weight 38 has a diameter 40 of from 1.2 to 4.0 centimeters. The weight 38 has a diameter 40 of from 2.0 to 3.0 centimeters. The weight 38 has a diameter 40 of 2.5 centimeters.
A sleeve 42 is coupled to the purse 12 and positioned in the interior space 14 proximate to the second end 20 and the bottom 26 of the purse 12, as shown in
A slit 44 that is positioned in the top 16 of the purse 12 is configured to allow access the interior space 14. The slit 44 is positioned in the second section 24 of the top 16. A closure 46 that is coupled to the purse 12 proximate to the slit 44 is positioned to selectively close the slit 44. The closure 46 comprises a zipper 48 that is opened by motivating a slider 50 of the zipper 48 toward the second end 20 of the purse 12.
In another embodiment, as shown in
In yet another embodiment, as shown in
In use, the handle 28, which can be used to carry the purse 12, also positions the user to swing the purse 12 to strike an assailant.
With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
