Claims
- 1. A method of adding materials to a web, the method comprising the steps of:mixing a material into an air supply for an air knife; directing the air knife onto a surface of at least one of a pair of embossing rolls; and passing a paper web between the pair of embossing rolls, the embossing rolls coating at least one surface of the paper web with the material on the surface of the at least one embossing roll.
- 2. The method of claim 1, wherein the material is selected from the group consisting of debonders/softeners; permanent wet strength agents; temporary wet strength agents; C12-15 alkyl benzoate; anti-bacterial agents; and vitamin E.
- 3. A method of adding materials to a web, the method comprising the steps of:mixing a material into an air supply for an air knife; directing the air knife onto a surface of at least one of a pair of relieved-pattern rolls; and passing a paper web between the pair of relieved-pattern rolls, the relieved-pattern rolls coating at least one surface of the paper web with the material on the surface of the at least one relieved-pattern roll.
- 4. The method of claim 3, wherein the material is selected from the group consisting of debonders/softeners; permanent wet strength agents; temporary wet strength agents; C12-15 alkyl benzoate; anti-bacterial agents; and vitamin E.
